In the stillness of a Winter evening, beneath the cloak of falling snow, a limp figure laid amidst the snowy forest. Wrapped in nothing but a single thick layer of a grey jacket. A vivid trail of crimson painted the white snow from where his leg bled. Each heavy breath clouded the air of the canyon he was stuck in.
The wolves were out to get him. He had just barely escaped their hungry jaws before he had hidden down here. As the frost enshrouded the world in its icy embrace, the old man's recitation of the Lord's Prayer reverberated softly through the glacial walls, each word crystallising into a testament of faith. "O-our Father.. wh-who-o art in heaven," whispered the man shakily, "h-hallowed be thy name."With each strained word he could feel his consciousness slipping away, "Th-thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven," his aching words rang out, his hands to his broad chest with a white cross and picture of a girl no older than two clutched between his rough hands.
"Give us this day.. o-our daily bread," He murmured in tears, a plea for sustenance amidst the barren wilderness.
Suddenly, angry growls vibrated through the air, but the Lord's Prayer being a beacon of solace, never quieted. "And.. forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us!" He cried out as the beasts converged. "and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil!"
"For thine is the kingdom-"
Bark! Bark!
"The power and the glory.."

This was actually for an English writing assignment on Frozen Register and I got great marks for it! I believe I changed it a bit, but everything is still pretty much all the same!
