ABOUT A WEEK had passed since the ski trip, and the trio had all split their separate ways to complete some of their personal projects.
max was in london filming things for quadrant, lando went to australia with daniel to do random things like illegal dirt biking, and danica was in america putting finishing touches on her new song and the accompanying music video.
it was a unanimous vote between aria, finn, blake, and danica to record in a hockey arena for the video. i mean, come on. it was the perfect bad bitch move after a very publicized break-up with a certain hockey player.
however, she was a little nervous to hear the public's reaction, knowing damn well everyone would be analyzing her lyrics closely to find any lyric they could stretch into a diss about her ex-bestfriend, jenna, or ex-boyfriend, cory.
people online liked to speculate about what happened between them, and would make up extremely complicated versions, like the one she saw on twitter suggesting that:
danica had cheated on cory first with lando while she away at one of his races with jenna, but not cory- which was "the first major red flag" according to the user. then, jenna apparently caught the two cheating because she posted a tweet saying "i think f1 stole my bestfriend", so danica's team and the mclaren pr threatened jenna to stay quiet about what she saw, during a "fake-lunch", because there was an image of danica and jenna in the mclaren hospitality talking to some team members, but jenna went against the non-disclosure agreement and told cory, which led to them bonding at the LA party because "cory was devastated and jenna was comfort" so they shared a moment, but got sniped by paparazzi, and the blame was placed on cory by all of the danica reid stans who "cannot believe their idol would cheat on someone so it couldn't be her".
so overall, it was danica's fault somehow.
even though;
1. cory had no reason whatsoever to visit the grand-prixs because danica was there on lando's behalf, and cory hated lando!! PLUS he'd always refuse or excuse himself from attending a race even when lando would give her an extra pass for him too
2. lando was just danica's best friend, and they would never be anything more.
at least never while she was in a relationship.
but now danica was busy in america, focusing on releasing, what she would soon find out to be, the song that would sky-rocket her career!
nothing stopped her grind- not even her broken wrist, which speaking of, still had a vibrant pink cast on it with sharpie drawings of dicks, thanks to daniel, and massive "LANDO" and "MAX" scribbled on top which could be spotted from a mile away.
