"Oh my what a day " she says as she slumps onto her bed. "Where are my headphones?" Misty asks herself then Sprout barges in without knocking scaring the life out of Misty. "What do you want Sprout ive had a bad enough day as it is and do you not know how to knock?!". He looks at her apologetically "sorry. I just found your headphones...You left them on the kitchen table". Inside she felt bad for snapping at him knowing he didn't do it intentionally but the smallest things were triggering her because of the previous events of the day. "Thanks you can leave now and learn to knock". she groans before plugging the aux into her phone and playing her liked songs on Spotify a mixture of Arctic Monkeys, Chase Atlantic, Girl in Red and some Renee Rapp aswell as many others but these being the main four.
The music flowing through the wired pair of headphones allowed her to keep calm and relaxed as she looked around her room from the point of her bed until something caught her eye. Some photos stuck to the wall surrounding her waist cut leather jacket. One specific photo was bringing back all her memories from home and her two best friends Sam and Eve. They once were a great trio but then everything at home was getting somewhat overwhelming for Misty and she felt forced to leave feeling as though it was for the best before it could get any worse. She hadn't spoke to either Sam or Eve since the day she left even on some of her day visits she had never arranged to meet up with them she hadn't even called or text them.
It had been a very long time since she had been for a visit home almost one and a half years so she took it upon herself to call her mum. She unplugged her headphones to dial her mums number into the keypad and gave herself a good few seconds before she pressed ring. it rang 3 times. "Hello?..." a female says down the phone. "Hey mum its Misty" she introduced nervously awaiting a reply. "Misty!! its been so long how are you ?" Her mother asks. "Erm... Ive been okay I guess" Misty responded. "Well that's good to hear... Anyway whats up how come your calling so out of the blue?" Her mother questioned. "Well I was wondering if you would be ok with me coming down for the weekend next week if my boss allows me the days off ?" She asked anxiously. "Why of course you can your welcome here anytime!". Janis (her mother) shouts excitedly over the phone. "Also another question...By any chance does Sam and Eve still hang about ?" Misty asked. "Yeah !! I seen Sam in the corner shop the other day and he was arranging to come round with Eve at some point to have a catchup...I am sure they will be so excited to see you sweetheart". "okay.. I'll text you tomorrow if I can go!". Then she hangs up the phone a slight bit of excitement and a few minute call was enough to make her day that little bit brighter.
