A/N P.O.V:
"I'm not agreeing with this why do you get to make the choice when we are talking about our future!" said Jennie raising her voice in disbelief while Taehyung just kept quiet
"Ruby Jane, you are speaking with your father so you should pay attention to your choice of words, and respect me!" he spoke getting irritated and annoyed
"THERE IS NO WAY, WE ARE NOT MARRYING THEM WE DONT EVEN KNOW THEM!" yelled Jennie still angry about the fact that she and her brother had two marry two strangers so their father could unite with the Im's and backstab them stealing their territory.
In a blink of an eye Taehyung was filled with horror as he saw her sister on the floor with a hand print on her left cheek caused by their father who had just slapped her.
"Do you think your defiance will change anything?" their father said coldly, his gaze unyielding as he loomed over Jennie, his hand still shaking with anger.
"How many times must I tell the both if you? This is not up for debate you guys will do what I say and thats it, now end of discussion and get prepared for the wedding day tomorrow," he continued, his voice void of empathy. The silence that followed suffocating Jennie, his voiced echoed through both of their minds leaving them hollowed and defeated.
Jennie stood up from the floor with Taehyung's help, as Jennie stumbled up the stairs towards her room the familiar sting of pain was now accompanied by the crushing wight of resignation. Taehyung who had participated in the confrontation, was left with a similar state of despair. He retreated to his own room, the heavy silence of the house that was left behind pressing down on him.
In the solitude of their respective rooms, both siblings had entered their bathrooms and now were facing their mirrors. Taehyung stood in front of his the glass reflecting a young man with bruises and scars, each one a painful reminder of their father's wrath. His reflection seemed to mock him, showing a spirit battered and broken by constant oppression.
Jennie, in her room, felt the same suffocation despair. The bruises on her body were not just physical marks but symbols of her ongoing struggle against the expectations imposed on her. Every mark told a story of battles fought and lost, of dreams crushed under the weight of their father's wrath and relentless control.
Jennie stared at her reflection, the weight of her resignation pressing down on her. She had always knew her father valued power and control above everything else even above his children, but it hadn't lessened the sting of his cold and indifference. The bruises on her skin that were fading reminded her of his ruthless grip on their lives, but tonight, they would be her motivation. She turned away from the mirror with her decision on mind.
Across the hall, Taehyung faces a similar reflection. His scars were not just on his skin but etched deep into his soul. They had endured years of suffering. His own dreams ruined by their father's oppressive rules. But as he looked into his own eyes, he felt a spark of defiance. Tonight he would no longer be the victim.
Jennie moved silently through the darkened house, her heart pounding in her chest. She knew the layout like the palm of her hand, she had memorized every creak in the floorboards. Her escape plan, meticulously crafted over the year's waiting for the perfect moment to escape. Taehyung met her at the bottom of the stairs, their resolve mirrored in each other's eyes.
They slipped put into the night, the cold air biting their skin. Jennie felt a surge of adrenaline as they started running. The weight of their father's house lifting off their shoulders by each step. It was just not a physical escape but reclamation of their lives. For too long they had been pawns in a cruel game, but not any longer.
As they ran through the shadows, Jennies thoughts turned to the years of torment they had endured. Her engagement with Changkyun the son and second in hand from the Im's had been another shackle. At sixteen they had been powerless to start the defiance against their father's orders but at 18 they decided they wouldn't longer let their father keep controlling them and thats when it became worse.
Taehyung kept pace beside her, his own thoughts driving him forward. He had always wished his father's intervention, a futile hope that had only deepened his despair. But now, he realized that their salvation lays in their own hands. Together, they would escape the nightmare they had been born into.
Jennie and Taehyung's flight through the darkened forest was a frantic scramble, each step driven by sheer desperation. As they neared the property line a huge mansion came into their view. Jennie felt the sting of branches scratching her arms, legs and face the pain a reminder of what was at stake. Tarhyung was close behind, his breath coming in ragged gasps.
"No. No. No" Jennie gasped, her heart pounding ad she pushed herself harder. They had almost reached the mansion when they started hearing the shouts of their father's men behind them growing louder, getting closer with each second.
"Run, keep running" urged Jennie to herself, the words becoming a mantra. Her legs burned with effort, but she couldn't afford to stop. She heard Taehyung stumble behind her, but she couldn't look back...
Will they make it? Or will their father's men get them?
