(America's pov)
Ukraine just took the attention back onto her so she could keep reading and get through this book faster. I sighed to myself, wondering what other secrets, of mine, could be revealed.
"The reason America has trust issues is simple, ask her wife, or brother, about it." She read, I sighed aloud this time.
"I'll explain. Confederate, Dixie, was the one who caused it. He was the brother who was mentioned." Lectwist read, I smiled softly while looking at her but turned away.
I removed my glasses again but didn't change them with magic and simply left them black but I did close my eyes.
"He caused one of my eyes to be red." I say quietly, opening my eyes fully. "Yes, my eyes are black. No, it can't be fixed. Yes, I know the reason. I'm a Union, an organization, I rely on my states, getting along, to stay alive." I say, letting my eyes adjust to the brightness of the room.
Silence. That was it. Complete silence.
"The same would go for the United Kingdom if they were to form." I say, leaning back in my chair and closing my eyes, my arms crossing behind my head.
"Well, moving on." Ukraine said, taking the attention again. I just left my sunglasses off. "America can never forget. She'll always remember the things done to her."
I sighed and the others took that as the chance to bombard me with questions.
"What does that mean!?" Uncle Scotland asked.
"1812, Civil War, Spanish-American, My revolution, Barbary wars, Mexican-American, Second Opium war, Pig war, Second Samoan Civil War, Mexican Border war, Tanker war, Gulf war." I said, slamming my fists onto the table. Making it crack under my touch.
"Break." Ludwig called. Everyone walked out, shaken by my sudden burst of anger. I sighed again and leaned back in my seat, I looked down at the table and my hands. There were a few splinters and the table was done for.
I stood back up and touched the table, letting my magic run through it to fix the damn thing. I closed my eyes as I concentrated on fixing it. Once I opened my eyes it was completely fixed, I sighed again and walked out of the room and down the hallway, reaching the doors at the end of the hallway I pushed them open and flopped onto the medical cots that looked to be from WWI. The entire room is filled to the brim with medical supplies from both of the world wars. I curled into a ball on the cot and just stared off into space.
(Lectwist's pov)
I looked around the living room for my wife but she didn't show up. I searched around for her once again.
"Have any of you seen Amelia?" I ask the nations in the living room with me.
"Nope, haven't seen mom at all." Mina responded before going back to talking with her aunt.
I hummed in response before standing up and walking out of the room, I exited the room and went down the hallway to the room America put all of my old medical supplies from the world wars. I opened the door and saw America laying there, like she was sleeping, but I knew she wasn't. I walked over to her and sat down on the chair next to the medical cot.
"I know you're awake Lia." I said to her, giving her head pats.
She turned to face me and I saw her eye bags were larger than I thought. "You need to sleep my dear." I said softly, leaning down to her face. I kissed her forehead and sat back up straight.
"No. I don't want to sleep." She responded, I sighed and looked over at the old grandfather clock pressed against the wall near the door. It read 6:23, I stood up and started leaving.
"I'll make dinner, get some sleep." I said as I turned the lights off and walked out of the room, I closed the doors behind me and walked down the hallway. I then stepped into the living room and went past all of the other nations and into the kitchen.
I grabbed two large pots and two bacon grills, with a sigh I grabbed the hamburger patties, hotdogs and a few boxes of Mac n' cheese. I filled the pots half-way with water and put it onto the stove to boil. As I let the pots of water boil I turned around and froze in an instant. I stared at the dead nation I defeated and who controlled the other half of my island once before. I stared at him for a while.
"Heard you named your capital city after me." The dead man floating in front of me said.
"Wistern." I hissed out at him response.
"Oh Lectia! I'm your brother! No need for that tone!" He responded with a child-like glee in his voice.
I glared at him as I put the patties and hotdogs onto the grills.
"You were never my brother. Ever." I hissed in response as I glared at him, he looked shocked but I knew damn well he wasn't. Our relation was tied the day he declared war on me.
"You're no fun." He responded before dissolving in thin air. I breathed a sigh of relief at his vanishing act., I flipped the patties and hotdogs, pouring the macaroni into the pots and stirring it periodically to keep it from sticking to the pot.
After a few minutes everything was done so I strained the pots and mixed in the cheese with butter and milk, I kept the grills on the lowest settings to keep it warm still. I dished out two plates and left the kitchen.
"Dinners done." I said to Ludwig who smiled and stood up, the others followed after him as I left the living room to the medical room America stayed in. I opened the doors and flicked the light switch on, flash banging myself in the process, and then walked over to America and set the plates of food onto the small table next to her. I grabbed her shoulder and shook her awake.
She grumbled in response but sat upright, rubbing her eyes in the process. I handed her the plate of food and a glass of tea. She smiled at me, softly, and started eating. We ate in silence and I set my plate on top of hers when we finished.
I grabbed the plates and the empty glasses and left the room, America followed after me, probably to our bedroom as I went to go put the dirty plates and cups into the sink. I left the kitchen and went over to the end of the bedroom hallway and saw America sleeping already, I chuckled silently to myself as I threw on something I could sleep in before getting into the bed next to her.
