Lila's POV
Today is the spookiest day of the year, Spooky month or Halloween. My son Skid and his friend Pump always go out during this time to get a lot of candy and frankly, its been a while since i was with them and tonight i decided to join them in their adventure. Tonight was awfully foggier than usual, which gave it a spookier vibe but it didnt seem to stop Skid and Pump from going to every house
"You kids sure have a lot of energy huh?" I ask them
"Yes we do Miss Lila, because it is a spooky month" Pump replied doing the spooky month dance
TIMESKIP
We continue on until we reach the church at the end of the roads
"Kids we reached the end of the road lets go back to the house and count the candies you gathered" I tell them fully tired and wanting to sleep
"Ok mom" Skid said back to me still full of energy
"Ok Miss Lila" Pump replied also still full of energy
Honestly i dont know how they still have so much energy but i really dont mind it
While walking back, i noticed that the fog hasn't really lifted which made it harder to navigate and see where im going but it was managable. Skid was at my rightside and Pump was on my left and they were both holding my hand. When we got passed the candy shop, skid and pump screamed at the same time
"Kevin!!!!"
The man at the candy store made eye contact with Skid then Pump then quickly turned away and ran towards the back room to hide from them almost like he was afraid.
"huh, thats odd" I said to myself
"Well kids lets get going back home" I said in a happy tone but i couldnt hide that a yawn escaped my mouth
While nearing my house, me and the kids bumped into someone. This caused some candy to fall out of Skid's candy basket. The person that bumped into us was well built, and roughly 3 inches taller than me
(Context: Lila = 5'5; Y/n = 5'8)
He and I made eye contact and he quickly apologized
"Sorry for the inconvenience ma'am" The stranger said while scratching the back of his head
"Its alright, right kids?" I said back to him and looked to check on Skid and Pump
"We're both fine mom" Skid replied to me
The stranger then began to pick up some of the fallen candy that was knocked out of Skid
"Here ya go lil buddy, sorry again" The man said to Skid handing him the candy he dropped
"Again sorry for troubling you, my name is Y/N and I just moved here a few days ago so I'm fairly new" He said extending his had to greet me
"Nice to meet you Y/N, my name is Lila and welcome to the town" I said shaking his hand up and down
"Nice to meet you Lila, sorry for troubling you again, I need to get back to my workout, see you around" Y/N said as he was leaving
"Mom, I think that guy is nice" Skid said
I pat Skid on the head and we both headed home. We dropped off his friend to his house where his big sister opened the door.
"Hello miss Lila, thank you for going out with my brother on Halloween" Susie said holding the door open
"It's no problem dear" I said
Susie replied with a smile before closing the door
Me and Skid headed back to the house where we both went to bed almost immediately
"Turns out Skid was also tired" I thought to myself as I was tucking myself to bed
"Hmm Y/N, that's a nice sounding name" I said to myself before slowly drifting to sleep.
