Lila's POV
My alarm rings at 5 am
"After an exhausting night I have to go to work already..." I thought to myself trying to get myself out of bed. It took almost all of my willpower just to sit because I was so tired from yesterday, yesterday took almost everything out of me.
"Maybe I'm not cut out for trick or treating" I thought to myself as I was getting up from bed.
I walk down the stairs to be greeted by Skid who was watching TV in the living room
"Hello mom" Skid replied somehow full of energy
"Hi sweetie, I see you are full of energy again" I reply back at him
"Mommy has a lot to do today, so I need to ask you to behave, ok?" I tell him
"Ok mom I will" he replies back at me
After that I got a call from my boss
"Yes boss good morning" I said trying to hide my tiredness
Skid POV
Mom just got a call from someone and she looks kinda busy so I just went back to watching a movie
The movie was just about a scary ghoul screaming OOGA BOOGA. It was good and even funny
I noticed mok was looking a bit more stressed, she usually isn't this stressed but I can tell something happened
I hopped off the couch and went to my mom's leg and hugged her just as soon as she finished with the phone call
"Mom what's wrong?" I asked a bit concerned
"It's really nothing sweetie, just a bit more stressed because of the busy schedule that I have this week" She said breathing a huge sigh
"Say, why don't you go play with your friend?" My mom asked
"Sure we'll go on and adventure" I said excitedly
When I was preparing to go out, I saw the man we saw yesterday. He was wearing a white t shirt with jeans, he also lived right across the street?!
Lila's POV
"Turns out the entire week is gonna be stressful..." I think to myself very irritated now
I walk towards my room but then Skid immediately stops me from going up the stairs
"Skid, what's the matter?" I asked
"Mom look it's the new neighbor, he's across our street" he said to me
"Hey mister, come here!!" Skid screams, from the living room
This catches Y/N's attention who was putting some boxes inside his house that I assume he just moved into. He starts walking towards our house, it's right here I noticed that I forgot to change my clothes from my usual "look at me in the eye" to my work clothes.
"Oh crap, he's gonna see me in this??!" I thought to myself silently panicking
I planned to get changed real quick but it was already too late, Y/N was already standing at our doorway which was left open by Skid when he opened it
"Oh good morning Lila, just woke up?" Y/N said looking at my shirt
"Oh hahaha, yeah...." I said avoiding eye contact and scratching the back of my head.
"It's gonna be a busy week and I kinda already forgot I have work today" I said sighing yet again
"I can help if you want me too?" He kindly offered
"Yeah mom, me and pump will have a new friend, pleasssse" my son said with puppy eyes
"I don't really mind it Lila, I'm not too busy with my work right now" Y/N said
I thought about it and ultimately just decided
"Y/N you got yourself a deal, I'll pay you for your troubles too, thank you" I said to him
"Skid meet your new babysitter, Y/N" I told my son
"Thank you Y/N, maybe this week won't be so bad afterall" I thought to myself
