2009
In a limo sits Justin Hammer, and a few secret service agents one of which being Agent James Bishop of Shield, undercover.
"This is actually insane!" Justin shouts as he holds his cell phone up to his ear. "Now that Tony Stark has confirmed to the public that he is in fact Iron Man, we will take him to court and get our hands on his technology.
"How do you propose we do that?" A voice speaks through the phone.
"Easy, we tell the court that he's an existential threat to the American public," Justin proposes. "Anyways, I've gotta go, I'm on my way to my facility to work on some stuff." Justin hangs up the phone and throws it into the pocket of the door next to him. "What are you looking at?" He questions the man sitting directly across from him.
The man slowly takes his sunglasses off, revealing his identity. "Ah, Agent Bishop," Justin smirks. "It's funny, I'm not surprised to see you here. Did your little, one eyed companion send you to stop me from getting my hands on Stark Tech? Well guess what, he can't stop me!"
Agent Bishop quickly pulls out a hand gun, and points it at the founder of Hammer Industries. This causes the secret service to ready themselves. Agent Bishop begins shooting towards Justin causing the limo driver to swerve in fear, losing control of the vehicle.
The limo tips over, and begins to roll into a field. Once the limo stops rolling, Justin Hammer and James Bishop struggle to exit the vehicle. Once they are out, they stand up and face each other.
"Come on James, you know we used to be on good terms, but now you're just acting like an asshole," Justin points out.
"So much coming from the most corrupt business owner I know," James replies. The shield agent begins performing Ninjutsu on Justin Hammer. He shoots darts of water from the palm of his hand, hitting Justin in the face.
"Ah, so you are the one they call White Water," Justin smiles devilishly.
James manages to hit many punches and many kicks, causing Justin to fall to the ground in pain. The CEO of Hammer Industries stands back up.
"Is that all you got?" Justin questions the mutant, shield agent. James pulls a vial of hydrogen out of his pocket. He opens the capsule and begins to manipulate the hydrogen with his hand. James stretches his arms out to each side of him, causing the highly flammable gas to expand and explode like a bomb, causing a fire.
Justin Hammer who's now struggling to stand up, begins to cough.
"Who said I couldn't stop you?" James questions the business owner.
"I did," Justin stands up pulling a knife out of his pocket. He quickly stabs James, piercing his heart. This causes the shield agent to fall to the ground. Justin stands there, watching as the life slowly leaves James' body.
Spring, 2010
6 Months Later...
Annie Bishop, who is twenty years old, lives an uneventful and ordinary life. She lives in New York City and works as a waitress at a restaurant in the area. Having to cope with the recent passing of her father, Annie has also begun learning Ninjutsu, a Japanese martial art that her father himself had specialized in.
On another ordinary and uneventful day, Annie finds herself waiting tables which has become a regular part of her routine. As she finishes jotting down the orders of a table of three, she's peers across the room.
To her surprise, Annie sees a couple of familiar faces sitting at a booth. On one side sits a man with brown hair and a goatee, and on the other side sits a brunette and a young girl who looks to be elementary aged. Annie begins to walk towards them, smiling.
