When I woke up, I found myself in my favourite Otome game.
I woke up to a mirror, showing off the gorgeous wedding dress I had on. What took my attention was not the dress. It was the face that blinked back at me.
Maria.
The villainess Maria was the character I had always loved in the game. With her striking violet eyes and cascading black hair, she was the epitome of elegance and beauty, but behind that façade lurked a cunning and manipulative nature that made her the perfect antagonist.
And yet, as I stared at my reflection in the mirror, I couldn't help but feel a sense of disbelief. How had I ended up in Maria's body, wearing her wedding dress on what was supposed to be her big day? The day when she's married off to a supposed ugly womanizer?
As the pieces of the puzzle slowly began to fall into place, I realized what had happened. Somehow, I had been transported into the world of the Otome game I had spent countless hours playing, inhabiting the body of the character I had admired due to her sad backstory and unwavering love to her fiancée.
This wedding is the aftermath of the annulment between the prince and Maria.
With a mix of excitement and trepidation, I took a deep breath and composed myself. This was a chance I never thought I'd have, an opportunity to experience the world of the game from the inside, to see things from Maria's perspective and perhaps even change her fate.
As I stepped out of the dressing room, I was met with a flurry of activity. Servants bustled about, making final preparations for the ceremony, while guests mingled in small groups, discussing the latest gossip and speculation.
I felt a surge of nerves as I realized that all eyes were on me, or rather, on Maria. As the villainess of the story, she was no doubt a controversial figure, and I could sense the curiosity and judgment in the gazes of those around me.
But I refused to let their opinions sway me. I had a chance to rewrite Maria's story, to redeem her and perhaps even find a happier ending for her than the one she was destined for.
With a determined set to my jaw, I made my way through the crowd. As I reached the altar and stood beside my soon-to-be husband, I took a deep breath and prepared myself to face the infamous 'ugly womanizer.'
He's....not that bad?
Certainly he's on the chubby side, but if this man exercised his face would be a 10/10 in my books.
As I stood beside him, I couldn't help but notice the warmth in his eyes and the gentle smile that played on his lips. Despite his reputation as a "womanizer," there was something inherently kind and genuine about him that I hadn't expected.
I found myself captivated by his presence, drawn to the way he carried himself with confidence and grace. It was clear that there was more to him than met the eye, and I couldn't help but wonder what secrets lay beneath his pudgy exterior.

At the end, we said our vows and ended the ceremony like that. If I turn around in bed now, I bet I can only see his wide back.
"Maria," he said, his voice warm and inviting. "I hope you don't mind sharing a bed with a supposed 'ugly womanizer.'"
I couldn't help but chuckle at his self-deprecating humor. "Not at all," I replied, surprising myself with the sincerity in my voice. "After all, it's what's on the inside that truly matters."
I could see his body get shaken by that statement, ultimately deciding to stay silent.
That was how our wedding night came to pass.
