Belladonna was hugging one of Theo's arms, her head resting against his arm as she absentmindedly used her free hand to pet Toffee.
They were waiting in the DADA room, their teacher having not arrived yet. Her mind was focused on what had happened earlier with the voice, she felt like the voice was familiar. Like she's heard it before, but where from?
"Welcome, class. I apologise for being late" Professor Lupin spoke, walking through the classroom door.
The man glanced at Bella, noticing the glazed over look in her eyes and he wanted to speak with her but he knew he couldn't.
The class moved closer to the front, but they jumped when the wardrobe at the front of the class shook violently.
"Intriguing, isn't it?" Lupin said, as the wardrobe shook once again. The man stood off to the side, watching the classes reactions. Some curious, some worried and others somewhat fearful.
"Would anyone venture a guess as to what is inside?" He asked.
"That's a boggart, that is" Dean Thomas answered.
"Very good, Mr Thomas. Now can anybody tell me what a Boggart looks like?" The teacher questioned, as they walked around the class room. Bella already knew the answer, but didn't bother to answer.
"No one knows. Boggarts are shapeshifters, they take the shape of whatever particular person fear the most. That's what makes them so--" Hermione answered, explaining as if she was reading it from a book before she was cut off by Lupin.
"--So terrifying, yes" Bella, along with the other Slytherin's and Neville, couldn't help but roll their eyes at the know it all brat.
"Buck-toothed know it all" Pansy sneered, glaring at the back of Hermione's head making her friends snicker under their breathe.
"Luckily, a very simple charm exists to repel a Boggart. Let's practice it now. Without wands, please. After me--Riddikulus" Professor Lupin said, standing in front of the wardrobe which shook again.
"Riddikulus" The students repeated.
"Very good, a little louder and very clear, listen---Riddikulus!"
"Riddikulus!"
"This class is ridiculous" Draco muttered under his breathe, earning a light nudge to the side by Harry.
"Very good, well so much for the easy part. See the incantation alone is not enough, what really finishes a Boggart is laughter. You need to force it to assume a shape you find truly amusing. Let me explain. Uh, Neville, will you join me, please?" Lupin asked at the end, making the boy suddenly become nervous. He looked to Bella for some reassurance, and the girl grabbed his hand with a smile.
"You can do it, Nev" She whispered, giving his hand a squeeze which made him relax more. Remus saw this interaction, and smiled fondly at the girl. It was no surprise that she got her mother's kindness.
"Neville what frightens you most of all?" Lupin asked the slightly timid boy. Neville muttered his answer under his breathe, before saying it clearer.
"Professor Snape" He answered, cringing slightly when mentioning Bella's uncle but when he looked over to her she just gave him an amused smile.
"Yeah, he frightens all. And I believe you live with your grandmother?" The professor questioned next, making Neville become tense once again.
"Yes, but I don't want that Boggart to turn into her either" Neville answered quickly, making Lupin shake his head.
"No, it won't. I want you to picture her clothes - only her clothes, very clearly in your mind" Professor Lupin instructed.
"She carries a red handbag--" Longbottom began, but was stopped by Lupin.
