herbie jolted as his phone vibrated, eager to see what ali sent he clicked on the message.

"hey, i was just wondering if i left my bag at your place, or maybe it's at the club, but if you find it let me know, thanks"

herbie got up from his seat at the couch and roamed around his apartment searching for any sign of her bag. spying it at the front door he grabbed a hold of the black leather ysl bag with a long gold chain.

"yea it's here, how should i go about giving it back to you?"

as soon as he sent the message he knew he probably should've just said he'll give it to reece who can return it to her, makes the most sense it's probably what ali will say anyways.

"do you want to meet up for coffee and i can grab it then?"

well that was surely better than anything herbie expected.

"sure you free tomorrow at 7"

ali could feel her heart beating through her ratty pjs. coffee? coffee? he probably doesn't even drink coffee he's a sports star for gods sake and 'sounds great!' how much more desperate can a person sound. ali slammed her head in her hands as her phone buzzed, herbie texting her the place. ali could feel the butterflies in her stomach when she saw his name pop up against her lock screen, she felt a small smile start to creep up on her. immediately throwing her phone and walking away ali tackled her next problem. what to wear.
