Chapter 7: Intentionally Misunderstandings

Bellamy's heart hammered in his chest as he slipped out of Clarke's tent, careful not to disturb her fragile slumber. He couldn't bear the thought of causing her any more distress than he already had, not after everything that had transpired between them.

But as he made his way through the camp, his mind still reeling from the events of the night before, he was startled to come face to face with Finn, whose eyes widened in shock at the sight of Bellamy emerging from Clarke's tent looking disheveled and with bed hair.

For a moment, the two of them simply stared at each other in stunned silence, the weight of the unspoken truth hanging heavy in the air between them. But before Bellamy could find the words to explain himself, Finn spoke up, his voice tinged with disbelief.

"Bellamy? What are you doing coming out of Clarke's tent?" Finn asked, his tone incredulous as he struggled to make sense of the situation.

Bellamy felt a surge of anger bubbling up inside him at Finn's accusatory tone, and in a moment of spiteful mischief, he decided to play into the misunderstanding, if only to see the look on Finn's face.

"Oh, you know," Bellamy replied, his voice dripping with sarcasm as he flashed Finn a smirk. "Just having a little fun with Clarke."

Finn's eyes widened in shock at Bellamy's words, his mouth hanging open in disbelief as he struggled to process what he had just heard. "You... you and Clarke?" he stammered, his voice barely above a whisper.

Bellamy's smirk widened at Finn's reaction, his satisfaction growing with each passing moment. "That's right," he replied, his tone laced with amusement. "But don't worry, Finn. I'm sure you'll find someone else to keep you company."

With that, Bellamy turned on his heel and walked away, leaving Finn standing there in stunned silence as he tried to make sense of the bombshell he had just been dropped.

Meanwhile, back at the camp, Finn wasted no time in seeking out Jasper and Monty, his face pale with shock as he relayed the shocking news of what he had just witnessed.

"You won't believe what I saw," he exclaimed, his voice trembling with disbelief. "Bellamy and Clarke... they were together in her tent."

Jasper and Monty exchanged a look of disbelief, their minds struggling to process the implications of Finn's revelation. "Are you serious?" Monty asked, his voice filled with incredulity.

Finn nodded, his expression grim. "Dead serious," he replied, his tone filled with uncertainty. "I don't know what's going on, but something tells me this changes everything."
