Dabi's POV:

As I walked around Japan, I listened to the live recording that Y/n had kept on her,

"Guilty as charged," I heard her admit as I listened to the recording, earning a round of laughter from the group, "When did you skip class growing up?" "In middle school, there was one class I hated so much I would skip it. It was English, I skipped it at least four times before getting in trouble." "Four times?" "Yep, and a couple of friends would come with me." "Who?" "Keigo Takami, Rumi Usagiyama, And Toya Todoroki."
A tiny smile crawled onto my face as I remembered those times.

(flashback time)

"Come on, Keigo, you're lagging," Y/n teased as they darted through the bustling city streets. Keigo, known for his aerial prowess, couldn't help but chuckle at Y/n's playful taunts. "You know I'm faster in the air, Y/n L/n," he replied with a grin, his wings itching to take flight.
"True, but that wouldn't be fair to us ground-dwellers, would it, bird brain?" I chimed in, matching Y/n's smirk as we playfully raced through the urban landscape.

Rumi, ever the responsible one, called out from behind, "Toya, Y/n, slow down a bit and let Keigo catch up. We're in this together, after all."
As we slowed our pace to allow Keigo to close the gap, "Looks like someone has a crush on chicken wings," Y/n teased, glancing mischievously at Keigo. "I see what you mean, Y/n, and I don't disagree," I chimed in, unable to contain my grin.

"WHAT?!?!" Keigo and Rumi exclaimed simultaneously, their surprise evident. "What? You know it's true," I continued, my smirk growing wider as I enjoyed their reactions.
"No, I don't," Rumi protested, her face turning as red as Keigo's wings.
"Sure, and my Dad is All Might," Y/n chimed in, adding a playful twist even though All Might is her uncle.

"Sh...shut up, Y/n," Keigo muttered, looking away with a blush spreading across his face, which extended to his wings. "Let's save the teasing for later and just enjoy ourselves for now," I whispered into Y/n's ear as we slowed our pace, a mischievous glint in my eyes.
She turned to me, a small frown appearing on her face. "Fine, but this isn't over," she declared, though a playful smile soon followed.

"Of course, it isn't," I replied with a grin, knowing that the fun and banter between us would continue as we walked around town, relishing in each other's company and the adventures yet to come.

(end of flashback)

"What about your friend Toya? What's he like now?" A different girl asked, my smile faded "He's uh, he's no longer here. He died years ago." "I'm so sorry, Y/n," "I had no idea." "It's okay. It's been a long time," she replied, her voice tinged with a hint of sadness. "Toya was... he was amazing. Talented, kind-hearted, always willing to lend a hand. He had this infectious energy that lit up the room wherever he went."

'He was Y/n, but he's gone. And he's not coming back, like you said he's dead.' I thought to myself while listening to Y/n's words in the recording.
.................................................................
As I kept walking around town I thought more and more about all the info we had on Y/n's Dad. If I get the LOV to 'talk' to Y/n's mom, maybe she can tell us more that we want to know. I smiled coyly

I smiled at the texts and then started walking to the address I had sent the others, as I walked I ended up bumping into a man

I smiled at the texts and then started walking to the address I had sent the others, as I walked I ended up bumping into a man. "Watch it, I'm walking here," I said keeping my cool, the last thing I need is a whole bunch of heroes knowing where I am if I use my quirk. "Sorry." That was all he said as he walked off
