A familiar face

"Y-you," was all I could manage to say as I stared at the man in front of me, feeling a chill run down my spine.

"Yes, it's me. You've grown, Y/n. You look young for a 24-year-old," he said, his voice dripping with a strange mix of familiarity and menace. I remained speechless. "What? Are you surprised? Speechless that I'm here, talking to you, even seeing you?"

All I could do was nod, my mind racing. This was the man who had abandoned me and my mom when I was just five years old. The man who had sent that threatening letter was my Dad.

When I finally found my voice, my questions tumbled out, laced with suspicion and fear. "Did you have anything to do with the L.O.V. breaking into Mom's house?" I asked.

"No, I had nothing to do with that," he said, his expression unreadable.

"Then why did you send me that letter? Why do you want to see me, and not tell anyone?" I pressed."Let's just say that I want to spend time with you," my dad replied, a chill going down my spine at his words.

"What do you mean by that?" I asked, my voice trembling."I want to show you what I've been doing for the last almost 20 years," he said with a smile that sent shivers through me.

"No, I don't trust you," I said firmly. He finally sees me after 20 years and acts like he's up to something evil. His smile widened, and his eyes gleamed with a disturbing intensity. "Oh, Y/n, you have no idea what you're in for."

I knew what his quirk was-super strength. I had no chance against him. "I'm not going anywhere with you," I repeated firmly as I got up to leave. "You'll wish you never said that," was all he said as I walked away, an uneasy feeling settling deep within me.
