chapter 15 : Céleste

New Orleans, 

Amelia 

I walk around the house looking for my sister Hayley, her bed is not undone so she went unhooked yet she did not take her things which means that she did not run away either. I go to Klaus' room, I hate him we agree but seeing him dying alone on his bed I do not know how to explain it it hurts my heart. I fill a bowl with water and take a towel and then I come to sit on the bed next to him. I dip the towel in ice water to apply on the forehead. The hallucinations caused by the weapon in his belly cause him the worst miseries of the world and even if he is a monster I find it difficult to see him like that. As I lay the towel on his forehead caressing his hair, I see him again becoming lucid or at least a little.

- Amelia

- I'm here

- Forgive me Amelia

He wants me to forgive him, but I don't know what.

- forgive me for denying my child's paternity

Oh yes it is so it was not too early since I waited for his apology. I don't say anything I keep mopping his forehead when he grabs my arm.

- Rebekah brought my dad back to New Orleans to get rid of me

Without saying anything more, he plunges back into his hallucinations. I then get up and take a knife to cut the scar and dip my hand inside to try to recover the weapon from its wounds. In vain. I go down the stairs to the inner courtyard and I come face to face with cami and Elijah. I'm willing to bet that Elijah wants cami to want on Klaus when I already take care of him very well but he will confide more things to camille than to me. Even if he has already confided well but nobody knows it to me and I do not even know if Klaus himself knows what he told me or if he will remember it when he wakes up. Elijah looks at my hands and I can't help but try to hide them.

- There's blood on your hands, he says

- Yes, but it's nothing

- Amelia what did you do

- I tried to pull Klaus' gun out of him

Elijah rushes down the stairs with Cami but I scream at them

"I didn't succeed, he's still in a magical coma." 

I send a message to Hayley to find out where she is and it doesn't take long before she tells me to join her in the bayou. I don't tell anyone I grab the keys and Klaus' car and drive to the bayou. When I arrive in the bayou, I walk a few meters into the forest and I come face to face with wolves growling at me so I step back slowly saying that I am Hayley's sister and I try to find her, The wolves stop their grunts and show me the way to her. Once there, I recognize my sister from behind. Except that when she turns to me, she carries a shotgun in her arms, surprise I jump back.

"Calm is not for you," she said.

I try to laugh but I'm not really reassured.

- It's for her

She shifts and I can see Sabine or Celeste sitting with her hands tied. I turn to Hayley to try to understand majs celeste tries to move so she turns around and fires the rifle into the areas.

- you calm celestial or sabine no matter to me

Celeste asks Hayley the reason for her kidnapping. She reminds her that she took possession of a body that of a woman from the Deveraux family. Celeste seems to remember it very well. Hayley knows that celestial possessed the body of this woman and that therefore by deduction it was she who threw malediction on the wolves. The conclusion is that she wants Heaven to free her people from what she does not interfere with. I would even say that she is ready to do this for Hayley because as she told him she admires him because she is not afraid and she does not let herself be controlled by the Mikaelson family. I'm running around in the bayou trying to figure out what I'm gonna say to Elijah when he sees I'm missing too. 

Sabine is always sitting with her hands tied and she prepares a potion with plants really something that makes me feel nauseous and I step back to vomit.

- pregnancy is not successful everyone says she

- Especially when it's klaus' child I laugh

"So you too said she was not surprised."

- Yes 16 years old and pregnant with a hybrid who thinks only of himself I'm not proud

The conversation stops and I sit on the floor. I'm tearing a dead leaf that obviously didn't ask for anything. But it avoids my anxiety to take over. Hayley is right next to me with the gun still in hand and I know she will not hesitate to use it if celestial takes a wrong step.

- you have questions I know said heavenly

- Who you're talking to asks Hayley

- A Amelia Claire

I lift my head just when I hear her say that last name. She smiles diabolically.

- you knew? I say

- Yes, if you wanted confirmation you are Davina Claire's sister

- how come I'm a siphoner?

- Because your mother was, so you took this gene but you are just as powerful as the witches

The conversation is cut since she has finished preparing the potion that she then gives to Hayley.

- How do I know there is no poison

- Because unlike the Mikaelsons, I like you

A voice comes out of this interview completely.

- Cannot be trusted

Elijah. I don't know how he knew where we were. 

Hayley takes us apart with Elijah to ask us to wait at least until the next full moon to know if the potion really works. Elijah does not seem very pleased with this request.

- So we keep her captive for a month it's too dangerous

He does not make a hasty decision, he is content to take Celeste apart and to discuss or fight, that we will never know. When he returns, he hands the potion to Hayley who jumps in his arms. I hide my face from embarrassment, I never have my sister so caught up in a man. Elijah takes his head in the palm of his hand whispers something then puts a kiss on his forehead. I bring Hayley back and toss her about what just happened and then I get in Elijah's car to go home with him and Celeste.

Once arrived at the cemetery, Elijah returns , I return but Celeste remains outside, when we turn towards her and we try to get out I succeed but Elijah remains blocked. I panic unlike him while Celeste commits suicide in front of us with a piece of glass that she sticks in the throat.

Not worried Elijah invites me to follow him to a vault where the body of the real Celestial begins to rise. He trapped him. She can no longer take possession of another body than her own and to end it once and for all with her. Elijah puts her against a wall and takes her life.
