chapter 27 : looking for Cami

Bayou, 

Amelia 

Klaus throws the car keys in the direction of Cami and asks her to go get the car. She rushes there but I ask her to wait for me to come with her. We're crossing part of the Bayou before I dare to start the conversation.

- You can rest assured I was with Davina all the time

- Thank you Amelia but from what I heard you weren't there for the right reasons

- I admit that I had cut my humanity

- Why if not indiscreet

- The death of my daughter

Cami stops as if what I came to tell her surprised her. She looks at me with tears in her eyes before taking me in her arms.

- You lost your daughter I'm so sorry

"Did you not know?"

- I thought only Hayley had lost her baby

I shut up to swallow silent tears. The pain is much harder to handle now that I am fully aware of my emotions. Cami hugs me tight and I start sobbing. When we get to the car we go up and we approach the wooden house and when we open the door Mikael attacks us. He takes cami and as I try to struggle he ties my hands with a rope soaked in vervain,. I was going to scream but he shoves a tissue handkerchief in both of us's mouths to muffle the noise and he vanishes with us. We walk for a long time in the forest where he pulls me with the rope while cami advances of his full sandstone not to be killed. As soon as I have the misfortune of not going enough or slowing down Mikael's walk he pulls the rope and the vervain burns my wrists. I try to resist the pain by focusing on something and that's when the vampire's hands suddenly appear to me. In his hands he holds the white chain stake that could kill Klaus. Panicked I start to wriggle and try to undo my ties which displeases the old vampire so he turns and leaves me against a wall. He picks up a branch and breaks it in half and presses it on my chest. The piece of wood pierces my skin.

It pushes a little more the piece of wood which makes me moan in pain.

- and this wooden stake will finish

He pushes the stake even further and I scream in pain as cami begs him to stop and leave me alive.

- in your heart

I can feel the stake near my heart almost sticking to it which makes me cry immediately. He pulls out the piece of wood and it's like I'm breathing again. I breathe a sigh of relief and fall to the ground.

- you should have killed me I say

- Don't tempt me little bitch

- I would have joined my daughter and be rid of your crazy family

Mikael turns around and grabs me by the throat before getting up. I have trouble breathing, I suffocate and it tears a smile out of him. He then lets me fall on the ground and Cami rushes towards me while Mikael hypnotizes a group of young people to play a kind of theater scene to Klaus. This reassures me because his goal and therefore to attract Klaus and not to keep us captive or to kill us even if for him our death would be nothing. At dawn we arrive in a disused factory at least that's how I perceive it. I am starting to be weak because of the violence Mikael has inflicted on me but also because I no longer have enough human blood in my body. Mikael notices it quickly since he takes cami by the neck and he puts it under my nose.

- Feed yourself

- No

- Feed you I said

Cami is scared I can hear her at her heart rate increasing.

- No I answer

- Amelia I will survive, he'll kill you if you don't

- but cami

- Do it she screams 

I do not think I take out my fangs and I bite in the flesh of Cami which tears a cry of pain. I do the best I can to control my thirst. When I feel that Cami weakens I stop right away and Mikael throws her to the ground. Mikael grabs me by the throat and looks me in the eyes.

- You're in control for a newborn vampire

Then he throws me on the floor next to Cami. I approach her and I put her head on my knees, I damaged her neck and I feel a lot of guilt and I think it must be seen in my head since Cami makes me a smile and puts one of her hands on mine.

- I couldn't let you die

- Cami I'm so sorry I say

- Don't apologize, I just wanted to protect you

Her words tear a tear from my eye and then I decide to bite my wrist and carry it to Cami's mouth so that she can drink it and recover quickly enough. She accepts and drinks a few sips. She recovers quickly enough from her wounds and when we both get back on our feet, we see Klaus come in like a madman and throw himself against Mikael which propels them through a wall that they destroy. Father and son fight until Klaus ends up on the ground and Mikael starts putting the stake in his heart. I start screaming.

- KLAUS NO

On the other side I hear Davina pronouncing a spell with kaleb to remove the magic from the stake but for now Klaus is on the ground and his body has turned gray. Mikael gets rid of him and with Cami we throw ourselves at his side. I can't stop crying.

- Klaus no please don't leave me, please

- Help me remove the stake," Cami said.

We wrap our hands on the wooden stake and force and remove it but at the same time I hear Davina screaming. Cami tells me that she is almost there and that I can go and see how Davina is. When I arrive she is on the ground and Mikael bit her so I raise her up and give her my blood to heal her. Everything happens very quickly Marcel arrives and he fights with mikael who runs away then I see arriving Hayley who comes to take me in his arms.

- There's blood on your shirt, she says

- It's nothing I'm fine

She serves me hard against her and I see Klaus getting up so I rush to throw myself in her arms. He catches me and lifts me up by putting his hands under my thighs. I look him in the eye.

- I've already lost my daughter I can't bear to lose you

He smiles at me and rests me on the ground.

- We have another problem Klaus says Hayley

I turn to her with my eyes.

- Esther took Elijah hostage
