You felt kick to you side and woke up with a small yelp, looking around you with small panic and quickly spotting the one Who kicked you. It was Gates, i mean THE GATES. "Uh Ma'am!" you quickly stood up from your sleeping position against the wall standing at attention. "At ease" She inspected your Posture before turning around towards the table. You inspected your surroundings, seems like you were sleeping in the barracks. You caught a white helmet wich Gates had suddenly thrown towards and inspected it, an X like Visor was on it and with dark letters read "IMC" on it. "Atleast your relfexes are good. Put the helmet on and follow me." You did as ordered and followed her out of the room. Inspecting yourself against a glass wich dimly reflected your appearance.

"I read your file, not that great without a titan from what i understood, shame we dont have the time to improve that" Gates said as the two of you walked past crew members and grunts, each one giving you two room to walk past them. "But it also had a mention about your piloting skills, and i must say im impressed. Your Instructor even commented on it, mentioning how you Pilot better than most veteran Pilots they had seen. Wich is why your the one that Will be deployed In a titan" She commented More on your apparent skills as the two of you turned left in to an armory. "Have you been briefed on our mission yet?" She questioned as she picked a dmr and a P-2011 from the racks. "No i havent been. Ma'am" You decided to go with a basic loudout you usually went with In titanfall 2. An R-101 with an acog and an extended mag and a P-2011 since P-2016 werent In production yet. "...Well we Will drop from orbit to retrieve Intel from a militia base and a package near it. Luckly this is a small base so we Dont need that many Pilots for this. Unluckly, since this is a covert op we only have one titan at our disposal and since i dont want you wearing us down you Will be the one to have it." She walked out from another door and you followed. The two of you entered an hanger full of titans and stopped nearby two Pilots leaning on a railing, one of them was bulky, wearing an identical Pilot uniform to your and Gates own. They had "Wolf" written on the other side of their helmet. The other one was smaller anf had a gasmask like helmet with five 'eyes' acting as its visor and a hood over it.

"So this is the replacement?" The one with the hood asked. "Yes Joshua, this is them. I hope the rest of you were briefed about this mission?" She questioned the two, receiving an "Aye" from Joshua and a nod from Wolf. "Good. Rookie, Joshuas our radio operator and stealth operative. And wolfy here is our cqc expert and hacker even if he doesnt look like it" Gates walked past the two and the rest of you followed her. After a short trip she stopped infront of an white Atlas-class titan with several mechanics around it. "This is your stop Rookie." She simply said and you responded with an "Ma'am" and stepped inside rather akwardly. "Feeling nervous?" A mechanic next to the Hatch asked "Kinda, first time im inside a titan outside of training" your responded pressing a few buttons that seemed familiar and the hatch started to close. "Dont worry, its usual for New Pilots" The mechanic said trying to ease your worries as he stepped away from the titan. The cockpit was dark until it suddenly lit up showing the outside of your titan and the mechanic front of it. "Do you hear and see me Pilot?" the mechanic asked from you. "Affermative" You got More comfortable on the seat of the titan "Thats good, all system are Green too. Your titan is equipped with Vortex shield, rocket Salvo and a 20mm chaingun, oh and we have a specialised AI from the previous Pilot called "Fatman" im suprised Gates gave it to you but oh Well." The mechanic briefed you on your titans loudout, nothing special about it but it Will do, espesially since we arent expecting More than a couple hostile titans we most likely Will evade. "Rookie, you good to go?" Gates asked as a live feed from the trios droppod Showed up on the lower left side of the screen. "Affermative, ready when you are" You responded to her and Gates continued. "Good, everyone of us Will be pretty scattered after the drop so we Will meet up before we continue to the objectives, watch yourselfs out there. Espesially you Rookie" The titan moved backwards from the platform and stopped. "You ready rookie?" Joshua asked with a small laugh and you get To respond as a rough voice of the ai said a familiar lone wich gave you a small sense of nostalgia. "Standy for titanfall"
