Sebastian knocked on Lewis' door. Quiet at first, then a little louder.

There was no answer. Worried, Sebastian tried the doorknob.

Surprisingly, the door wasn't locked. He pressed the knob and slowly pushed the door open.

"Lewis?" he called out into the completely darkened room. His heart aching when he saw a little wrapped up bundle on the bed, shaking slightly.

Not hesitating for a second, Seb slowly approached the bed.

He sat down on the edge of the bed. He knew Lewis was aware of his presence, he just didn't acknowledge him.

Slowly but surely, he reached out to gently pat Lewis' side. Or at least what he figured was his side because he was completely covered by the blanket.

"Lewis...."

"Please don't."

Sebastian winced and pulled his hand back.

"I just want to talk to you."

"There's nothing to talk about."

"Oh I think there's lot to talk about. Maybe about how you didn't even say goodbye?"

"I didn't want to." Shuffling on the bed. The figure moving away from Sebastian. "And I don't want to talk about it either."

"Lewis, come on. I can help you..."

"I don't want your help! I want you to leave!"

Those words cut deeper than they probably should.

"But---"

"Leave! Leave me alone!"

Lewis even punched out with his arm, and Sebastian scrambled off the bed.

He'd never been turned down like this. Had never been treated by Lewis like this.

He stood by the bed, hands twitching a little.

"If you change your mind, I'll be downstairs."

Lewis had no desire to go downstairs whatsoever. "Just go."

Lewis' voice was steady and clear, not shaking at all as he ordered the other beta to leave. That's probably what hurt Seb the most.

Holding back a disappointed noise, he moved towards the door. He looked back one more time before going out of the room, closing the door behind him.

He hated feeling so helpless. So useless.

He could only hope Lewis would come back to his senses soon.

When he came downstairs, Val and Kimi were already there, waiting for him, watching him from their position on the couch.

Wordlessly, Kimi held out his arm. Just as wordlessly, Seb walked over to the couch and let himself be pulled into the pack alphas arms.

At least he could still count on them to comfort him.

Always.

Nico was staring at George, trying to understand what the omega was telling him.

Was this all some kind of joke?

If it was, then it was a real cruel one.

"The pup is not yours, Nico."

What the fuck? No....What the actual fuck?!

"What do you mean, it's not mine? How do you know this?"

George sighed, still holding onto Nico's shoulders. Nico was kind of grateful for that because he did feel like he could faint.
