Untitled Part 2

Nico vaguely remembers 2 hands coming to rest on his lower back. Kimi and Valtteri.

Both alphas said something before they guided him down the short stairs of the deck and took him and Toto a little further away to talk.

Nico was pretty out of it, until he heard Toto say once again that he was there to get Nico to return to his pack.

He didn't understand....

"I'm not coming back."

"Rosberg, you have no choice---"

"I do! I'm an alpha too! You don't get to order me around!"

He had a pack. A new one. A better one.

"Ah. So you're saying you want to abandon your family?"

"You're not my family." They'd never felt like one anyway.

"Not even your girlfriend and your child?"

Death silence.

He normally would answer with "ex girlfriend" right away, but his mind is too stuck on the other word.

Kimi and Valtteri are staring at him, he can feel it.

"I don't have a child."

That damn smirk is back on Toto's face.

"Vivi is 8 months pregnant."

It feels like the ground is opening up beneath his feet and he falls and falls. There's no way of stopping.

Nico can't get his mouth to move. He can't get anything to move. His whole body is refusing to move.

8 months......

He was still in Toto's pack then.

He was still with Vivi. Well, not actually together together.... But close to it.

It could be his.

Why did she never tell him?

"Why would she keep this from me?"

"Because she knew you were going out on a mission and didn't know when you'd be back."

"She has my number. I've been in contact with you and the pack plenty of times. Why didn't you tell me then?"

"Because it's not my place to tell. And maybe she was scared to tell you, since.... You aren't mated."

Nico goes silent. He honestly doesn't know what to do or say.

Both the Wolff pack and the Räikkönen-Bottas-Vettel pack were still left on their own, separately, waiting.

Nico just wanted to go back inside. He wanted to ignore that Toto and part of his former pack were here.

He wanted Lewis......

"Is there proof of this child?"

Nico's head swivels back so hard to look at Kimi as he speaks.

Why didn't he think of asking that?

Toto nods, picks his phone out of his pocket and opens up a conversation. He shows the other 3 alphas that it's a conversation between him and Vivian and then the echo that's there. He clicks on it to enlarge the picture and it feels like Nico's whole world crumbles.

There's the proof. The proof he had hoped to be non existant.

He can practically feel Kimi and Valtteri tense up behind him a little too.
