"According to the penal code and article 247,I find Mrs Josie Guilty of murder and hereby sentence her to death...."

I didn't get to hear any other thing. All I saw was stars and black spots. What just happened?

I looked at everyone in the court room. My parents were shocked. My mother and sisters were crying. My father held expressionless face. I knew I have failed them. My father had hopes for me. He banked all his life on me and here I was going to be killed.

Looking at Travis,I realised that I've wasted my time with the wrong people. He was the one I loved, the one that cared for me. Tge one that would give his life for me. He had done everything possible to prove my innocence but someone had beat him. I knew I would miss him. He had a family atleast. A wife and a child that he would be left behind to look after. He had tears in his eyes. I wished I had hugged him and tell him all was going to be fine. Fate

Mr and Mrs Anderson were looking content and happy. She looked at me and smiled. He face spoke of victory, despite being shocked I smiled back at her. Am going to die,why would I be friendly and respectful to the she devil? She clenched her teeth and fist after seeing my face. I knew I had gotten to her when she came to my face.

"Am happy that you will finally die,I've never loved you since you were married to my son ."

"And am very happy that I killed him,he didn't deserve to live, you will love to remember the woman that killed your dearest son...." I told myself trying so hard not to open my mouth and talk. Keep the facade josie"

Her attempt to slap me was stopped by the police officer who led me to the holding cells behind the court room.
My mind drifted back to what just happened out there. Something fishy is going on.

Jemimah had testified against me. She even gave the prosecution office the tape of our conversation. This was not part of the plan. As she talked, she convinced the court of my involvement in the murder of my husband. Guess she didn't know the outcome of what she did. She expected a life sentence or years behind bars.

Something happened. Someone had pulled strings to have me eliminated completely. The smirk on jemimas face when she left the witness box made me realise tye mistake I made. Trusting the wrong person. Each of us had a part to play. I knew I was played by her but accepting that reality was hard.

The tape wasn't part of the plan, why would she give out that? On whose side was she? I wondered.

My thoughts were cut short by footsteps approaching my cell.
"Hey. " It was Travis "am going to appeal and have another judge listen to your side of the story. I only ask you to speak for yourself please. Stop muting and save yourself please " he pleaaded with me

I had the urge to speak and tell him that I was ok with the judgement. I was ready to die. But how could I? I had sworn to keep my mouth shut until when my plans come to work. But looking at my state right now,I had no otherwise but to help myself. Am not going to let my children down. The only protection they needed was to be far from their grandmother.

Will anyone listen to my side of the story?

"Request for an appeal,I will speak" I finally told him.
I saw shock and at the same time amusement on his face.
"I knew you wouldn't let me down" he said
"Let no one hear about this, let them know am mute"

He left the cells and went on the other side. It's time to tell tge work what I know and what happened.
