Sun's POV:
I can't believe Moonie doesn't even KNOW what glitter glue is! Let alone finger painting! Ooooooh, I can't WAIT to show him! I hope he likes it just as much as me! Maybe even MORE!
I grab his hand and bolt around employees and workers walking around the area as I search for a certain room.
"SUNNY! SLOW DOW-" I heard a loud "CLANG!" as Moon got cut off and I felt him let go of my hand. I turned around to see that Moon had tripped on something and face planted the floor. Oops...
"Oh gosh! I'm sososososososososorry!!! Are you hurt? Did I hurt you? Oh no, I-I hope I didn't!" I stutter out as I grab his arm and gently pull him up.
"I'm fine, Sunny. My face just hurts a little. God, why did they program us with pain sensors," moon said, readjusting his hat on his head as he got up. "oh, sure, it makes us 'more human-like', but seriously, pain?" I looked at Moon from every angle as he talked, picking up his arm and moving his hands and head around, searching for any scrapes or injuries of any kind. He stopped talking when he realized what I was doing. I then paused and cupped his face with my hands, lightly squeezing his cheeks and rubbing them with my thumbs.
I stared into his ruby red eyes, and watched them glimmer in the light. They were so beautiful. He was so beautiful. I zoned out and didn't realize I had been staring for so long.
"Uhhh, Sun? You good there, buddy?" Moon said, snapping me back into reality. I blinked.
"I, uhm," I stared into Moon's eyes for just a little longer, before jumping away from him. "OH! Oops! Sorry, I just, uh, haha... ha..." I chuckled nervously, smiling. I scratched my neck embarrassedly, looking away. I felt my face and systems heat up. I covered my face with my hands. Stupid human-like traits!! They reveal so much!
Moon looked a little confused from what I just did and raised an eyebrow at me. I felt myself start sweating. Wait, we can sweat too?! Oh, that just makes this thing a whole lot worse.
Moon grabbed one of my wrists, startling me. I yelped as he yanked me towards him and made me face him.
The light from his eyes lit up my face with red, thankfully hiding my blush. I watched his ruby red oval pupils move just a little every now and then. left, right, left, right. His expression was so calm... it's almost mesmerizing and comforting in a way... oh no, stop it Sun! NO, no. I. DON'T. LIKE. HIM. (stage 1: Denial) Why would I? I literally JUST met him! Stop it Sun! Plus, with the way you've been acting, he probably thinks your crazy.
We stared into each other's eyes for what felt like an eternity. This time though, I didn't zone out. The awkwardness and tension just grew and grew, until I felt my heart almost exploding out of my chest.
"Uhhh," Me and Moon turned our heads slowly towards the sound. A short blue bot that I didn't recognize was standing not too far from us. He was mostly pale blues and whites, with some yellow and gold here and there. "Am I interrupting something?" he asked. He held a large bag of popcorn with the logo of a bright and happy bear with the words, "Fazbear Co. Vote For a Better Future." huh, wonder what that means.
Me and Moon blinked.
"N-NO! YOUR NOT INTERRUPTING ANYTHING!", I shoved Moon so hard he almost tripped again, "haha, ha... really, your not." I smiled nervously, fidgeting with my fingers behind my back.
"Suuuuurree, anyways you two are the new bots, right?" the little guy asked again. His voice was quite high, like mine, but slightly lower.
"Yes, we are. And who are you?" Moon asked, catching himself on a wall and standing back up.
"I'm Lunar, or 03," Lunar said, "I just came out of my testing room." Lunar turned and pointed to a door not too far back behind him.
"Wow, they've been making more robots fast! We've only been awake for a few hours." I said impressed.
"So, what's your guys' role?" Lunar asked, putting more popcorn in his mouth. How do we even eat? "I'm a mechanic. I like to fix things, obviously." I then realized he had a tail, unlike us, swishing slowly behind him. The end looked like a plug.
"Role? Uh, I honestly don't know, and what role would we have?" Moon asked. He was standing only a few inches away from me. His hand was ever so lightly brushing against mine every now and then, causing my heart to skip a beat.
"Hm, they didn't tell you?" Lunar dumped the rest of his popcorn in his mouth. "Well, supposedly, there are some new robots being made for some sort of mission for exploring other planets. Each one has a different role. I'm the mechanic, and I heard that some bots with the designation number 01 and 02 are the first ones officially made, and they have multiple uses. Sorry, wish I could tell you more. I've only been awake for aboout..." Lunar paused and his pupils twitched for a moment. "An hour, give or take."
Moon glanced at me and I glanced at him. Why didn't they tell us? Were they too busy, or did they forget? It wasn't that big of a deal, but it was a little peculiar. Heh, I like that word.
"Well, we're going to go now. Bye new friend!" I spun around and began walking in a random direction, then paused and turned back around. "WAIT! Before you go, you wouldn't happen to know where the finger painting room is?"
"Oh, you mean the art testing room? Yeah, it's two doors down on the left in that hall," Lunar said through chewing his popcorn. He pointed to a random hall to the right. "Alright, bye now!" Lunar turned around and started walking in the opposite direction.
Moon and me stood in silence for a moment. My mind couldn't stop itself from wandering to what Lunar saw me and Moon doing. It wasn't much, he just got really close to me, that's all! Yep, nothing more! It was probably an accident anyways, and it probably doesn't even mean anything to him.
I then start walking in the direction of the hallway that Lunar pointed to. Moon follows right behind me.
Neither of us said anything. Just kept walking. Soon the silence was getting to me. It crept up my back like a spider, the feeling getting worse and worse until I couldn't take it anymore. I started sweating.
"So, Moon, uhm..." I paused, trying to come up with an excuse to start a conversation. "How's the weather today?" I chuckle nervously, fidgeting with my fingers.
"Sun, you do realize we haven't even really been outside yet, right?" Moon raised his eyebrow at me again. Oh no, I'm acting so weird, aren't I? "Heh, you're cute."
...
What...?
Did he just...
No, he probably didn't mean it.
Yeah, totally.
