When M walked out the door, he was hit with a blast of cold air hit him in the face, his balaclava was only designed for warm weather so he wrapped his scarf around his head, after doing this he started walking down the path.
Eventually, he made it to a spot in the path that forks, after some consideration, he took the path to the right.

As he made his way through, he met a floating whale with a post bag, it introduced itself as the mail whale and they had a short chat before he decided to write some letters, one to Toriel to make sure she knew he was fine, and the other to Dalv to see how he was doing. After sending the letters off he continued walking, cursing himself for not bringing an extra layer as it was very cold outside, but finally he found something besides trees, snow, and rocks, a blue bird woman, and she was working on something.
"There we go, that should fix it for the time being," said the bird, with that she flew off. M walked up to what she was working on, it was a contraption of sorts, and it had a note on it which had instructions for what was apparently a puzzle. "Hmmmm, I'm just gonna button mash," M stated, and so he did, and he did until he won, which was much longer than it should have taken. M continued down the path, and to say it was long was an understatement, but he just kept walking until he came across an information kiosk, with the same blue bird, she seemed to be reading it. M: "uhh" she jumped and turned around "ah! A human!" She exclaimed. "Uhhh, yeah?" M was a little confused, but then again, most monsters likely haven't ever seen a human before. The bird lady pulled out an instruction manual labeled "Royal Guard basic manual" with what seemed to be a coat of arms on it. "Martlet of the Royal Guard encountered a human!" Martlet exclaimed, she began reading the manual "Ok, protocol one, be courteous, allow your opponent the first move." She said, "uhh, I don't really feel like fighting." M said, "wait what?" Martlet asked "I don't really wanna fight, I don't like fighting when it's unnecessary." He explained. Martlet looked like she was questioning everything she had been taught. "Oh, uh, well, ok then." She said, not sure what to think, "well, I best be on my way." M said starting to walk. "Hold on a second," M stopped as Martlet spoke, "I'll lose my job if I have one more mishap." M thought for a moment, before saying, "well then, just say you never saw me." Martlet looked uneasy at the thought of lying to her higher ups but decided it would be for the best, "hey uh, one more thing" she began, "would you mind visiting me sometime? I live some ways away from town and some company would be nice!" M pondered it for a second before responding with a "sure," and going on his way.

M continued on the path, eventually making it to town, and it was oozing with personality,  it was very cozy looking, and despite how cold the air was just seeing it made him feel warm, he continued on his way, looking for a place to rest for some time. He decided to settle for a place called the "Honeydew Resort" sounds comfy enough, he walked in and looked around, it was warm and cozy. "Hello!" Said a voice, it was a pink bear behind a counter, "Hello," M replied. "Welcome to the Honeydew Resort! I'm Honeydew," said the bear. "Nice to meet you miss, I'm M." At that Honeydew looked a little confused. "You don't have a full name?" She inquired, "you could say that" M said in response, "how much is a room for the night?" Honeydew was quick to respond, "40 gold." M looked a little concerned, "uhh, I only have human money." Honeydew frowned a little, "sorry dear, we don't accept that, but, hmm, what if you were to work off the debt? What sort of skills do you have?" M thought about it for a second, finally responding with: "well, I can do housekeeping as well as some basic maintenance." Honeydew smiled again, "that'll sure do!" She exclaimed, before asking, "would you mind doing the work upfront?" M shook his head, "not at all miss, what needs doin?" He was given a small list of tasks, and he went on his way.

After several hours of nonstop work, he was finally finished and able to enjoy his room for the night, as well as a bit of extra gold due to him doing more than what was necessary. "Thanks miss Honeydew." He said to the bear, she responded with, "no, thank you dear, enjoy your stay."
M walked to his room and first decided to have a shower, afterwards he laid in the bed and started reading a book before finally getting to bed.

The next morning he woke up and immediately got dressed and his gear on before heading back out and continuing to walk, he walked through town stopping once to get a hot meal, then continuing on through the end of town. He walked for a while before stopping by a strange looking house, which he assumed to be Martlet's due to her talking about it being ways away from town, and he decided to stop by for a chat. He walked up to the door and knocked, and a familiar feathered friendly face answered, "ah! It's you again! Er, I don't think you've introduced yourself formally." Martlet stated. "My name is M," M responded, Martlet looked a little confused, but decided to go along with it, not wanting to sound rude. "Anyways," she began, "welcome in." She let him in and M looked around, there were various projects around the house. "Sorry for the mess, I don't get much company so I usually just let things get out of hand." Martlet said with a hint of embarrassment. "I don't mind," M responded, looking around the house some more. There was a lot of interesting things around, and him and Martlet had a little chitchat(can you feel the laziness now?)

After a while of just hanging around M decided to go on his way.
