Ashlyns pov

its another day of this hell I sighed getting ready I don't want to give a sob story but in order for any of this to make sense I think I kind of have to

Both my parents died and as of recently my grandparents moved into the castle to take care of me and get me ready for my coronation

They died in battle I still miss them a lot but— oh shit I'm gonna cry while my maid is helping me with my makeup ugh I hate this anyways sorry

I always hated being a princess but queen will be like carrying a whole kingdom on my back

I have to go in front of the castle grounds soon to greet people and let them shake my hand

This is gonna be so loud ah It slipped my mind but I have extra powerful hearing so I wear these plugs for my ears not that effective honestly but hey it's better then nothing

"Ahem ma'am?"  "Logan? come in" I gave him a smile and he handed me a cup of tea

"Thanks Logan" "what has you down in the dumps?" He asked

"Ah you know princess stuff" "queen stuff soon" I sighed putting my shoes on

An annoyingly loud crowd began screaming outside "think that's your cue to go" he used his head to gesture to the door

"See you later Logan" "bye Ashlyn"

"Ahem ahem" one of the other maids corrected him almost immediately "ah sorry bye your highness" he did a bow I chuckled running down the stairs

There was a chair the queens chair now the one I had to use I sat on it as the line of people only grew

By my left side side there were five guards and by my right side another five oh four weird

Just then my thoughts were interrupted by someone running in and joining the line of guards blonde hair red eyes, wait red eyes?

I almost immediately recognized his voice "sorry I'm late ma'am" he laughed. Seriously he laughed? I mean I'm not an uptight queen or anything but what if I was take your job seriously will you

Well i thought that on the outside I gave him a nod and said it was fine
