Royalty gone wrong (a sbg fanfic)

Chapter three

Bens pov

I like being a royal guard well... like is kind of a strong word its okay
Me and Aiden don't really need to work nowadays because his parents have tons of money

But I wanted him and I to learn responsibility plus I wouldn't really know what to do all day especially since it's summer

Aiden got the easy part of the job since he was guarding the queen on the inside of the castle meanwhile I was stuck on the outside in crazy heat

It gets a little boring especially since I choose not to talk for personal
reasons.... I've been learning sign language but most the other guards don't really care all that much about learning it too

Writing 24/7 gets tiring so hear we are I'm just some guy who 'cant talk' it's almost me and aidens lunch shift so I'll be out of this hot sun

There was a sudden nudge on my shoulder oh one of the other guards "come on it's time for lunch"

I nodded and followed him we always eat in the castles break room it's decently sized small for a castle though

"Ben!" Aiden yelled "what took you guys so long" another guard asked "this one here was zoned out" he pointed to me

Okay I get it I don't talk but they do know I can hear right "where's our lunches" said confused

Oh shit I never made or brought us lunch to have I grabbed my note pad from my pocket and started writing 𝐈 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐰𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐠𝐨 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐧𝐨𝐰 (oh btw Aiden is learning asl in this too just not that fluent)

"Ughh that'll take too long home is so farrrr just buy ingredients in the shops and make them here" he handed me a small sack of golden coins

And I waved him goodbye

Three short minutes later I had a bag of the ingredients for the sandwiches except bread most bakers were closed for their own lunch times

I sighed but then turned my head to see   their was one open I couldn't go to the one we usually went to so I guess this would be fine

"Hello, what can I get you?" the girl smiled since I'm trying to get used to sign language I accidentally signed 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚 𝐥𝐨𝐚𝐟 𝐨𝐟 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝

"Comimg right up!" she went to the back and about a minute later a guy who looked almost identical to her brought out some bread

Which she then bagged and handed to me I handed her the money and waved goodbye

When I got back in the castle I could only think about how cool it was she also knew sign language

"Finally your back ben" Aiden said grabbing the food out of my hands

We made the sandwiches the same as usual and sat down to eat

"Mhm it taste better than usual, did you buy different ingredients?" Aiden said muffled from his face full of food

𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 I signed "what?" 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 I signed it again but this time slower

"Oh well we should by this kind more often" I nodded

I guess that wouldnt be so bad I smiled softly to myself thinking about it
