Evan.We arrive at the location, and find Jay in front of the gate, walking back and forth while picking on his nails.
Azaleas leaves the car first, a machine gun in her back, and on her leg holsters are Glocks, her waistband has her favorite dagger sheathed and her hair is done in braids that form a crown around her head.
"Why did you bring her with you? I told you. Emergency." He emphasizes the word.
I shrug in response and Azaleas glares at Jay, she was never his fan, but never his enemy either.
"Let's go in," I say as I open the gate, my AK-47 in hand as I walk cautiously through the gate, hoping my head wouldn't blow off at any kind of moment.
Azaleas on the other hand walks through the gate like a supermodel, I'm convinced she doesn't fear death. I know that by now.
"She's going to get herself killed!" Jay says from next to me.
"No offense, Jay. You're my best friend and all, but she fights better than you." I say and I make my way closer to her, protecting her is my mission right now.
She gets through the main door without any fear in her eyes. She rushes to evacuate and she signs to me and Jay that there is a total of 12 enemies hiding there. How did she even notice it all just at that moment? Who knows?
She gets her Glock from her leg holster and she gets into a fighting stance. Her finger was on the trigger.
Her eyes wander around the HQ building, I don't know what she is looking for but she is looking for something. Her eyes light up and a grin displays on her face, one second she's there, the other she's climbing the building and going through somewhere and disappearing.
I had told her to stay by my side, but I guess that's Azaleas for you. A stubborn little Angel.
We hear gunshots inside headquarters and I panic. Is she okay? More gunshots, where is this girl? She's here for a second and she disappears like a leaf on the road.
She stands in front of the door, her arms crossed over her chest as she looks at me, a welcoming smile on her face.
I sigh a sigh of relief as I rush next to her, Jay following me from behind.
"Wiped out, every single one of them." She says confidently. "There's still some inside. About 21 or 23. I didn't have time to count."
"What are they wearing, did you see any marks on them?"
"Yes, an eagle. Does that ring any bells?"
"Oryol." Me and I say in unison, her face has a knowing smile while mine is painted with surprise. They're not supposed to be here, they're supposed to be disbanded because Sergey died.
"Damn. She knows more mafias than I do." Jay says.
"A mafia can't come here without its leader. Meaning someone took Sergey's place. Sergey has a brother called Dmitry. He's the one leading the force." She explains, couldn't she tell me that on the way from here?
"When I looked through the files. I noticed most of the Mafia members died or disappeared when Sergey died of course. Dmitry at that time took his place, killed anyone who said no and the others ran away. Leaving him with only 50 members, minus 12. 38 left to kill. Plus Dmitry." She unravels.
"And you tell us this now?" Jay narrows his eyes.
"Be thankful she's even telling us." I flick his forehead and he holds it in pain.
"So, what's the plan?" Jay asks. "Our forces are waiting for our mark."
"Tell your men to surround the place. The walls, everything. I have a plan, and Evan will be part of it." She says and she looks at me, her eyes lighting up with excitement.
"Roger that," Jay says then he runs off to get out.
"Dmitry Kuznetsov, get out already," Azaleas shouts, not fearing anyone or anything. Her hand was on her leg holster for any kind of attack. She's crazy. Yes. Am I going to marry a crazy woman? Absolutely, no holding back too.
Dmitry leans on the main door frame, his charming smile on Azaleas. His blond hair covering his deep blue eyes reminded me of Azaleas's eye.
"Azaleas Sakuno. What a pleasure to meet you." He says in a British accent as he makes his way to us. I put a possessive hand on Azaleas's waist, marking her as mine.
How does he even know Azaleas?
"I've always wanted to meet the hero of the children and the enemy of the traffickers. And here she is, in the flesh." He says as he walks over to us. He stops in front of us.
"Get your forces and go back to Russia." She says sharply.
"This is a mafia war, it's none of your business. So go, play hero with children and women. Don't get into our business." He spits out, anger filling his voice. He snaps his fingers together and his whole force leaves the building and they stand behind him.
"And you Evan. Weak that you have to bring someone to fix your mistakes for you. What an asshole." He says, trying to irritate me. Thankfully it doesn't work on me, but it does work on Azaleas that he's insulting me.
"Watch your tongue." She warns, her expression glaring at him.
"Don't worry, Azaleas. I don't bite." He says.
"I do," I say and I shoot his brains out. He thinks he gets the privilege of saying my Angel's name. No way in hell.
His men try to shoot us, but Azaleas uses Dmitry's body as a shield as we run to a wall.
"Now!" She shouts and the men surrounding the walls shoot the men in the land.
Me and Azaleas hide behind a wall to get out of shooting range.
"You're so crazy sometimes." She laughs at me.
"Not as much as I am crazy about you." I catch her lips in mine and I bite her lip, making it bleed a bit. "It's not war if you don't bleed a bit."
She laughs out loud as the shooting stops. Our first mafia together is done successfully and easily. God, I love her.
