Evan.

I drive to the location after wrapping up my work. My men are already waiting for me there with Jay leading them. He sees me and makes his way to where I'm standing.

"How are you doing?" He asks, his hands behind his back.

"When are we going in?" I ask, ignoring his question. We both know I'm not okay but none of us will say it out loud. Not in front of my men. They'll think I'm weak, and I don't trust any of them.

"On Alex's mark." He answers.

"Got it," I say as I get close to the house, I can hear children's cries from there. What would've you done if you were here, Angel?

"Now!" Alex's scream echoes and the door opens. All of the people watching over the victims get flabbergasted.

I shot one by one in the head while Jay helped me with it. My men rush inside and free all of the children and women.

The girls come out one by one, Elena, the woman whom I didn't know at the time of the hospital, was smacking my men for the victims stepping on blood. She says Azaleas always said to never let them step on the blood.

Thoughtful Azaleas as always.

The victims got out successfully. All of the guards are dead. All we need is to burn this shit hole.

Tyler and Alex grabbed the gasoline and started to fill the inside. I do the outside.

When we finally finished. Alex lit up a cigarette and took a puff. Then threw it at the house and it caught on fire instantly.

We take the car and Alex gets a text from Yura.

"She says we have a new location." He says.

"Really? Weird. She would've called instead of texting." Tyler states.

"I'm in," I say, even if it is a bit suspicious. Even if I die, maybe I'll join Azaleas wherever she is right now.

"Let's go," I say to Jay and my men. They all follow with their cars.

We finally get to our destination, the air is sure as hell tense. And Yura isn't waiting in front of the warehouse-like she usually does.

"Okay this is weirder," Tyler says in a strange tone.

I go out first and I feel like a gun is on me. I get back inside the car instantly. I hope I'm just being paranoid.

"Don't get out yet." I tell them."Alex, call Yura." I turn to Alex and he nods.

He pulls his phone out and tries to call Yura. She doesn't answer. Expected. I don't know if this is a setup, but there's a high chance it is.

I do what any idiot man who wants to die does. I get out of the car and hold my hands up in surrender. "Whoever you are. Where is Yura?" I ask as I drop my weapons and I stop Tyler and Alex from doing anything rash.

The door to the warehouse opens, and it's a man. "Evan Ravens, you're my dear Amelia's son. Fancy seeing you here." He says he has hazel eyes and a perfectly tousled brown hair.

"Who are you?" I question.

"I'm Owen Wellburg." He answers.

"Where is Yura?" I ask, I'm sure Azaleas would've done the same.

"Inside. In a chair, tied up." He says with a grin. I can feel Alex's anger from here. Can they make their relationship any more obvious? It's not the time to think about that, Evan. Azaleas's voice says in my head.

"Let her go," I say and I side-eye Alex. Trying to get him to relax.

"Oh, I don't think that's possible. Unless you're up to a truce." He shrugs.

"What is it?" I cross my arms.

"Stop taking our products, and we give her to you." He says with a smug.

My mind is racing with thoughts. How would've you dealt with this? Would've you done the truce? Would you refuse? I don't know. And I'll never know.

Reality hits. Azaleas is not waking up. No matter how much I think about it. She gave up.

"Before we do that." I sigh. "What is your relationship with my mother." The word mother comes out bitter. Forced.

"We were just fuck-buddies. No need to get mad. It's just the past. Though I'm sure she's dead by now." He shares, thinking he's a smart ass.

Fuck-buddies? Amelia? Dad was right about her cheating after all. And I thought he was looking for problems.

I need more time to think. "How did you get Yura's phone?" I interrogate.

"Well.. stole it, found the code, and sent a message to someone called 'My future husband' and it seemed they have conversations about this kind of work. So I sent a message. And you walked right into my trap." He smiles another smile, his wrinkles showing.

Okay first of all. I'm hearing silent gunshots from above. But I think I'm imagining them. Second of all, my future husband?! Really Yura?

"You really love her if you're going to accept the truce." He adds.

"Me? No, I'm not her lover." God I would rather die than be her boyfriend. She's annoying and a pain in the ass, how does Alex even deal with her?

"Oh well. I'm curious who is." He says. I point to Alex and he rolls his eyes at me.

"Why do you do this?" I ask.

"First of all, unlike Amelia's stupid dream, I do it for the fun." He chuckles.

Disgusting. "Well. I'm going to discuss this real quick with my team." I say, a complete lie because no. I'm not accepting it.

"I don't have much time." He says. "Make it quick."

I look at Tyler and Alex.

"What do you think?" I ask in a low tone.

"I don't want to leave her there." Alex sounds really unsure. "I'm lost. I can't lose Yura." He says this is the first time I've seen him panicked.

A gunshot behind us makes us jump.

"Ah fuck. The silencer fell off by accident." Someone says. A familiar someone, someone I love with all my heart, someone who stole my heart right from its cage.

My eyes shed invisible tears as she stands from a distance, her gun in her hand, her perfect fucking hands. Owen is screaming, but I can't hear him, I can only see her and her small figure, her silver hair in braids, one eye dark as ever, the other as light as the sun.

"Miss me?" She says from a distance, her voice as refreshing as ever. As if I was born again and I saw the world for the first time.

You wouldn't know how much I missed you, you never ever will. These past 2 months were a complete disaster without you, I couldn't do anything correctly, I couldn't think. But now my world has been refreshed, it's a new beginning. A new chance to be with her, my Angel, my Azaleas.
