Estelle's POV

Ever since the Hogsmeade trip I can't stop thinking about that dog and how Harry had called it Sirius. I wear the necklace mum gave me along with the watch my grandmother had gotten me. It was a gold watch face with a dragon skin strap.  Cedric got me a charm bracelet with a custom made charm on it and my birthstone.

So I've decided to write a letter to my uncle. I want to hear his side of the story. I'm in the owlery and my owl is waiting patiently as I compose my letter.

Dear uncle Sirius,

I don't know if you know about me or not. But I am your niece Estelle Black, daughter of Regulus Black and Fiona Longbottom-Black. I've been thinking about you a lot since you escaped last year, mum has told me little about you.

But from what's she has told me about you. I find it hard to believe that you would turn on your closest friends like the ministry claims. So I am willing to hear your side and I know my mother would be too. But lets start with just us.

Can we please meet?

Yours sincerely,

Estelle

I send it off with Daphne. I got a reply the same night. Which meant my uncle is close.

Dear Estelle,

I am glad you have reached out and I would be happy to answer any questions you have. Do you think you can sneak into Hogsmeade? I'll meet you near the Shrieking Shacks. Please write back with a date and time.

Yours Sincerely,

Snuffles

Snuffles? Must be a nickname to avoid being caught. I though about it and I still am not ready to meet him in person. I decide Easter should be a great time to meet. So I wrote back and sent the letter off before going to bed.

(Time skip to Easter)

I go as Raven to the shack. Sirius' last letter said a dog would meet me to guide the way. When I arrive I see the black dog that Harry had called Sirius. I walk up to him slowly and deliberately. He spots me and cocks his head to the side. I nod at him to lead the way. His eyes widen slightly, but he nods and turns heading for the mountains.

We soon reach a cave and he enters first. I turn human and draw my wand. I slowly enter and see him waiting as a man. Beside "Buckbeak" I say surprised. I bow to him and he bows back. Then comes over sniffing me. "Sorry boy, I don't have a treat" I tell him and pat his head. He coos.

"He likes you" Sirius states.

"I loved care of magical creatures, shame I could not take it for my NEWTs" I state. I look at him.

"You have his eyes" he states.

"I hear it's a common Black trait" I state. "So your story uncle?" I ask.

"I was never secret keeper, I convinced James and Lily to change at the last minute. We didn't tell anyone, thinking it'd be safer. But they trusted the wrong person" he tells me.

"Peter Pettigrew?" I ask and he nods his head. "Is he an animagus too?" I ask.

"Yes, he turns into a rat. James was one to, turned into a stag. We never put our names down" he states. "I thought like the rest of the world that Peter had died back then. But then I saw him in a photo in the daily prophet the summer I escaped. I knew where he was, that he was in a perfect position to strike if  Voldemort ever returned" he explains.

"Ron's rat?" I ask.

"You are smart" he says with a smile.

"He hide from you all these years and is still in hiding" I state.

"Yes he got away from me, but I convince Harry and his friends of my innocence. Along with Dumbledore and my old friend Remus Lupin. If not for Harry, Hermione and Dumbledore. Buckbeak would be dead and I'd have no soul right now" he tells me.

"Isn't there a way to prove your innocent?" I ask him.

"Dumbledore is working on a way. But it'll be hard to prove without Pettigrew" he states. "But I've been keeping in touch with Harry and what's going on. While keeping a low profile" he explains.

"I believe you, I pray you can prove your innocence. May I tell my mother? She will believe you, though I doubt my grandmother will" I state.

"Augusta is a strong minded woman" he states. "I never meet your mother, as she was in my brother's year. Though we were in the same house" he tells me. "I got you something" he adds and goes to the back of the cave. "Here" he says handing me a gold wrapped egg. "Happy Easter" he tells me.

"Thank you uncle" I say.

"How old are you?" he asks me curious.

"I recently turned seventeen" I tell him.

"Wow, I'm sorry I was never around" he states.

"I don't blame you" I assure him. "I should get back, I promised to meet Cedric for lunch" I state.

"Your boyfriend?" he asks.

"Yes" I say with a slight blush. He chuckles and hugs me. I freeze, then hug him back. "I'll try to send some food and I promise to stay in touch" I tell him and leave. I meet Cedric at the three broomsticks

"Whoa that's a big bit of chocolate" he states.

"A gift, want to share?" I ask.

"Maybe we should have lunch first, then the chocolate for dessert" he tells me. I agree. Easter break was fun and was nice to be reunited with my uncle. I told mum about him and his story. She to believed him and promised to contact him. Try to find somewhere safe for him to stay.
