"this sucks donkey butt." you muttered as your best friend, delilah, finished her conversation with her new situation. every week there was a new reason not to like the last one.

the day she finds her person, is the day the world ends.

"ok y/n you can stop sulking, we can head to lunch now." delilah nudges you as she passes your desk.

delilah flores, your best friend since 4th grade, was annoyingly perfect. she thrived off of others, not much of the same could be said for you though. you choked on your words daily, couldn't talk to anyone without the worry of upsetting them. she was happy to upset people, and talked with ease. you couldn't help but envy her, sometimes.

"lilah, do you think it's time for me to try again?"
you asked randomly, while playing with your moldy school food.

"depends." she started to grin at me. "who is it and why do you ask?! i mean i knew you had a certain glow to you but i didn't know you were getting dick!" you swore her head started to spin from how fast she talked.

"i'm not getting dick. and honestly i'm not even sure what's happening because we have been texting for like 2 months at this point and he won't stop flirting!" welp, now you were rambling and delilah looked confused.

"woah girl, you have been keeping some dude under wraps for 2 months?" she seemed kind of offended but got over it pretty quick.

"kam texted him the night you ran out of gas.." you sighed explaining the situation to your red head friend.

"is he at least hot?"

"ohhh no why would i say thattt.." you whined as you tried to fix your appearance as much as possible. being on facetime with someone you had never spoken to in person was nerve wracking. your thoughts were suddenly interrupted by your phone buzzing.

despite your shaking fingers, you answered the boys call.

when his side of the call shows up, you try your hardest to hide your open mouth. he looked like a model, medium length black hair, dark eyes and a smile that almost made you melt. you mentally thanked your blonde friend for this.

"sooo did training go well today..?" you immediately tried to fill the tension of meeting for the first time.

"you could say that, a few of my classmates-"

the call went well for a while, he talked about his classmates and you listened to his stories about them. eventually someone had knocked on his door.

"sero! we want to play a game downstairs, you down?" you could hear your friend, denki, ask him a question, waiting to hear his response.

"just come in dude. im on the phone with y/n." he responded, in a much lower tone than denki's.

in a quick second, 3 or 4 people flooded into the boys dorm. he turned back to you and whispered, something about thinking it was only denki.

"Y/N! come home the kids miss you!!" you could hear a girl from beside sero waving at the phone.

"im so beyond lost right now bro." you responded, these people seemed familiar though. they could've been the people you have been texting for all you knew.

"OH! oh! im mina we are the people in a group chat with you." she politely answered your question, she had the prettiest pink curls you couldn't help but wonder what they were eating over there. all of the people in the room were breathtaking in their own ways.

"anyways, im kinda tired from training and im on the phone with y/n. so im probably gonna pass."
he sighed looking at his friends.

"no no go play with them, im gonna get ready for school." you smiled at the camera before saying your goodbyes and hanging up.

you couldn't help but feel an odd connection between you guys.
