"I've never been in love."
that's what the boy you had been pining for had said before walking out of his dorm. you were finally getting him to talk and he just walks out. instead of avoiding conflict, you follow him. hoping he could open up more to you.
"hanta stop walking away!" you gasped, running after him, his strides start to slow down in the middle of the hallway. he then turns to face you, staring into your tired (e/c) eyes.
"y/n, stop pushing for an answer. i told you i have never been in love, so how could i tell you how i feel for you?" he was oddly calm, composed even.
"hanta i don't expect you to love me, you don't even have to like me! i just want you to voice your feelings instead of bottling them up and ghosting me." this statement wasn't completely true, of course you wanted him to love you, but love isn't something that can be forced onto others. hanta looked to the floor before returning back to meet your gaze, your heart skipped a beat or two when his lips turned up into a smile.
"trust me y/n, i like you. i definitely like you. i'm just having my own issues i guess.. maybe you could show me how to love?" he breathed out awkwardly.
the things that sentence made your heart do were incredible. flips, leaps, spins, etc.
the boys eyes laced with honesty & truth. this was the first thing he had said that felt real. not some dumb act to " protect you " or even push you away.
your eyes threatened to fill with tears, as you simply closed the room between you and the boy. you gesture for him to bend down a bit, to be face to face. once he was a bit lower, you smashed your lips onto his.
not giving him a second to think, he immediately returned your kiss. the two of you don't give each other a second to breathe, in fear of missing out on something. it was the most electrifying moment shared between the two of you, that the moment it came to an end. it was only due to a classmates shriek.
"ahh! omg finally. took you two dimwits way too long.." mina screams, running at you full speed.
then mina, being mina, brings up something nobody had to guts to bring up. "aren't you going back to the states in like 2 days though..? is that really a good idea?" she whispered the second half, low enough for only you to hear. she was just trying to be helpful, but the ignorant bliss had now come to an end.
"it's worth a try right..? i mean it's up to you." sero mumbles, in an oddly optimistic manner.
you had finally figured the boy out, there was no way in hell, you weren't gonna try your damn hardest to make this work for the two of you.
