Mandy wasn't still back from her commision and Chester was more paranoid than usual ( usual = never, because he's chester! ). She had never been out until so late. She had left at 6 pm and had been gone for more than 3 hours now. "WHERE IS SHE?!?" the pink-haired boy asked himself over and over again. The sound of the door was heard unlocking, and when it opened, it revealed Mandy's figure. He immediately rushed and grabbed her by the shoulders and shook her as he raised his voice "WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU, MANDY?!" Mandy, the poor sweet girl, used to hate loud noises, even though she was always screaming and her candy shooter was very loud when she fired, so she covered her ears. People shouting at her just reminded of her childhood trauma, and Chester was the only one who knew it. When he realized what he was doing to Mandy, he left her go and calmed down. "You've got me worried, Mady," he murmured. "Forgive me, i won't do it again".
..
.
She calmed down after a couple minutes, but her hands were still shaky. She explained that she had gone running several commissions, not just one, that had made her run all over Starr Park. Unfortunately, she would have other, longer-term errands and she couldn't leave work before 6 pm, so she had to do everything in the evening. Chester didn't really listen to her, or at least, he listened halfway, but the only thought buzzing in his head was "I have to protect her." What if someone would try to take her away from him? What if someone wantede to hurt her?
"But still, it's nothing important in the end. I'm going to change my clothes and make dinner"
the girl said in pastel green hair.
"No need, shall we go out to dinner?"
the jester had proposed, so as not to tire her out more than she already is.
"Um, I mean, as co-workers, right?"
asked Mandy quite uncomfortably. She had never really gone out to dinner alone with a guy. She had perhaps gone out to dinner with several people for work, or with other merchants of the same type as her, of candies for exchange the recipes, but never alone with Chester.
"Of course not Mandy! We're childhood friends, so why not go to dinner as such?" So saying, he made her smile.
"Okay, but not today, I'm too tired" she murmured.
"aw poor baby, come on, go change, I'll make you dinner" he smiled. Of course, Chester would have swapped salt for sugar, like a self-respecting jester does. Mandy went to take a shower before dinner and changed into her pajamas. She went to the kitchen and sat down.
She didn't care if the meat was to salty or to sweet, she just wanted to eat something. Chester looked at her, smiling sweetly, which was odd to her.
"why are you smiling like that?" she asked, bombastic side eyeing him.
"oh who knows." he giggled.
" ..Chester if you put one of your bells somewhere and they will explode you're dead meat."
" i mean, you're eating dead meat right now- " he smiled saying so.
" OH FOR GOD'S SAKE " she bursted in a laugh, so did chester
" okay, what did you do. " she became dead serious.
" ..maybe swapped salt and sugar "
" SO IM EATING MEAT AND SUGAR??? "
" I GUESS YOU AREE! AHAHAHHAHAHA! "
they both stood up and went for round the table, one trying to catch the other.
" come on, grab me mandyy! " he mocked her.
she ran to him and he escaped in his own bedroom
" BAHAHHAAHHH! YOU DIDN'T CATCH ME!". mandy wasn't really angry, she was just playing with him like two kids.
