Haven could not sleep once they calmed Calista down and kept her eyes on her until sunrise; anger slowly seethed through her body, thinking of the idea of Calista not surviving Shin's plan. The oldest remembered exactly the time she watched Shin torture her parents; it was one of the factors of her triggers; it would become worse if Calista was the newest addition.
The dorm was half empty. Jade and Esme were out to have a fresh breath of air, Haven had withdrawn from reality, and Calista was still asleep. Haven may have been silent, respecting Calista, who was sleeping next to her, but her mind was noisy. She remembered watching her parents' agony, yet her parents fortunately survived Shin's torture.
Haven hated the vicious smile Shin had as he played with her parents like dolls; she hated the rough hands he had on her face and neck; she loathed that man to the point she wanted to be like Calista and had the bravery to kill him with no remorse. But the problem is she was weaker than Calista and Jade, who were willing to go to any length to get justice.
"Unnie..." Calista mumbled, causing Haven to return to reality and feel the younger witch's hands wrapped around her waist. "What time is it?"
"Lunchtime, are you still full from yesterday?" Haven spoke up and then allowed Calista to bury her face on her neck comfortably. Calista weakly hummed, and she knew her answer straight away: "Me too. How are you feeling right now?"
"A little sore, but I can manage," Calista drowsily answered while her eyes were still closed.
Haven did not move and enjoyed the warm arms around her. Calista wanted to sleep more due to the soreness in her body, but her senses made her feel that it was already late. The younger Ravenclaw whimpered as she moved her body away from Haven and sat properly. Haven watched Calista and noticed a faint bruise on the back of her neck.
"How long do you think Shin looked at us?" Calista asked the oldest curiously. Her hands were on her lap, and her eyes were half-opened.
"I'd say a week or month, but I'm leaning more toward the month," Haven answered before she sat properly and looked at the sleepy Ravenclaw. She thought Calista was adorable with her puffy cheeks and pouty lips. "The Shin clan is smart. They're one of the last clans defeated before we flew away."
"I thought I'd die earlier," Calista muttered.
"Me too, Eunwoo, but you're still here. And also, drink the Blood Replenishing Potion later; you have a bruise on your neck, and you're still in need of more blood," Haven mentioned as she gently touched the bruised area for Calista to know where it was located.
Today was Christmas Day, and everyone in the world would typically forget important and stressful things in their lives for a day and enjoy the celebration. However, with Calista's situation, they needed to deal with the matter and inform Dumbledore of what happened since it concerned the safety not only of the four of them but of every Korean in the castle.
Calista quickly drank the Blood-Replenishing Potion and felt better and more alive than when she woke up. She also consumed sweets to help with her recovery. Haven left the dorm to check the Owlry, and she was alone. The oldest also took note that Calista needed space to recollect her thoughts, which she knew she needed.
Once she was ready, Calista prepared to go out. She wore casual clothes covered with a thick coat since it was still broken, and none of the students would wear their respective house robes. Calista walked everywhere to clear her mind, and she glanced at Jade and Esme in the Great Hall. They were staying there instead of the Courtyard since the place was covered in snow.
