It's been a while. I know this might surprise those who've been reading Limitless in my old account. I've taken a step back from being an author to focus on my mental health and personal safety. But now, I'm ready to return with a revamped project, Melpomene.
Limitless was a significant milestone in my writing journey, and I've always felt a deep connection to its characters, especially Claire Sato (Sato Yuki). With Melpomene, I aim to revisit that world and explore the complexities of human experience.
Calista, the protagonist of this book, is a character inspired by Claire. Her character has darker complexities, way darker than Limitless. She'll face challenges, joys, and everything in between. This story won't and will never shy away from the darker aspects of life, but it will also offer hope, redemption, and happiness.
I'm committed to providing an enjoyable reading experience. Melpomene will be a slower burn compared to Limitless, but each chapter will be worth the wait.
Before you embark on this journey, please know that Melpomene delves into darker themes than my deleted work. Scenes involving mental health struggles, violence, ethical issues in war, and sexual content may be uncomfortable or triggering for some readers. You may want to proceed cautiously if you are sensitive to these topics.
I will also ensure that there are warnings and specific types of warnings in those chapters before proceeding with the content. Exploring difficult subjects is essential for understanding the human experience, and I have approached them with sensitivity before I decide to write the scenes.
