ON THE SECOND day of the county fair, Sarah Kate knew better than to aimlessly watch horse riders, while Jackie was at her interview. She had dropped her off in town, wishing her good luck, even though she didn't need it. After that, Jackie and Alex were being a little too 'lovey dovey' now that they made up.
Instead, she spent her time with Sophie, Lee and Isaac at the fair. They visited carnaval rides, food stands and a couple of games where Sophie won herself a water gun— Lee was very jealous.
Over all, the day had began very fun and the group of friends were having a lot of fun — if it wasn't for Sarah almost puking in the previous ride.
"You ate way too much." Sophie chuckled as she patted her friend's back.
Sarah rolled her eyes. "I did not." She crossed her arms over her stomach and groaned. "I just enjoyed a lot of food." She thought back to the chocolate strawberries, salted popcorn, milkshake, cookies and candy floss. . . maybe she shouldn't have had this as breakfast.
"I saw." Isaac snickered. He sat down next to her on the bench and handed her his water. "Here, take it."
"Thanks." The brunette gladly took a sip of it when she felt water splash her legs. She looked up confused to see Lee looking at her with a sheepish look.
Sophie smacked his arm. "Give me that." She snatched the water gun back and splashed him as well.
"Hey!" Lee gave her a look before she made a run and he chased after her— though it wasn't fair, since he had his skateboard.
"We'll be back!" Sophie shouted, before scolding the boy for his benefit.
Sarah rolled her eyes and leaned back, not realizing Isaac had rested his arm there. "If I do puke, it was worth it."
Raising his eyebrows, he laughed. "What do you mean?"
"Well, those chocolate strawberries were to die for. And do you know how long ago I had my last sugar floss?" Sarah grinned. "It was totally worth it."
"As long as you don't puke over me."
She playfully shoved him, unconsciously moving closer when she laughed. "Oh please, I am not going to destroy my favorite pair of sneakers." Sarah looked down at her Fila's which were fairly worn out, if she hadn't taken such a good care of them.
