"It's killed me! It's killed me!" The blond boy lay on the ground, holding his arm. The teacher walks up to him, trying to say that it was only a scratch, that it would be okay, but a girl yells, "Hagrid! He has to be taken to the nurse!" The man hangs his head, "Oi aught to be the one to take 'em. Class is dismissed!"
The man picks up the blond boy, whining like a baby. I stifle my laughter as the teacher walks past me. Students pick up their books and begin to leave, and I grab my book as well. Walking over to the boy who had been called Harry, I notice that a girl and a boy are standing with him, "Your name's Harry, right?" All three of them look at me, confusion etched into their faces and the boy with ginger hair questions, "What do you want?"
I look between the three of them, putting my hands up at chest level, "I didn't want a fight, I just wanted to say nice job... for... riding the Hyppogriff." Harry walks forward a bit, putting a hand on the other boy's shoulder, "Thank you," he pauses a moment, looking between me and the other two, "What's your name?" I hold my arm before holding out my hand, "(y/n) Stone."
Harry takes my hand and then the girl with curly brown locks steps forward a bit, nudging Harry, "You know, Harry was just about to do some reading in the library, why don't you join him?" He looks at her before turning his head back to look at me, smiling, "Yeah, I wouldn't mind the company." I look between the three of them, seeing the girl nod, smiling. Looking at the boy in front of me I nod, "Alright, I'd love to join you."
The boy smiles, walking over to my side. We begin walking, and I walk just slightly slower, allowing him to lead the way. I smile, "So, what has everyone been saying about me?" He looks back at me, nervously laughing, "What do you mean?" I put my arms behind my head, "You don't need to spare my feelings, I'm sure people have been talking about 'the new girl' who only arrived in year 3. Have they guessed the reason I left my old school?"
His smile fades a bit, "Well, there have been a few rumors." I laugh, lowering my arms, "So you are hiding something from me. Come on, sunny, don't spare the details." He chuckles a bit, his smile returning for a moment, "Well, people have been talking, and they believe that you were sent away because of something bad you did." I give an accepting nod, "Well, their partially right, only..." I look at the walls as we walk, "it wasn't something I did."
We make the rest of the trip to the library, talking about a few different things. "Hmmm..." He looks at me, his brow furrowing into slight confusion, "Is something wrong?" Shaking my head, I smile, "It's nothing, I was just wondering if they had a book on someone I've been trying to find out more about."
He tilts his head, everything about him seeming more curious now than I've ever seen, "And who might that be?" My smile fades as I think about telling him the truth, but then I feel my brain do a mental face palm, "It's just someone that's influenced my life in a big way. I don't know them, but, they're the reason I got sent away to America in the first place."
He nods, "Well, if they went here, surely there's got to be some record of them in the yearbooks."
