Note: The nicknames all have meaning; the less obvious ones are Buttercup, from the Powerpuff Girls, and Mudrucker, a history joke. It basically means reporter. During the Progressive Era in the U.S., journalists would go out looking for injustices, so President Roosevelt called them  Mudruckers because they would theoretically stir up the mud sitting at the bottom of a puddle.

It was one of those weirdly normal days. Marinette met Adrien at school. Marinette and Chloé get into a small, petty argument about who knows what, and Adrien tries to stop it. Then Ms. Bustier comes in with an announcement: "Good morning, class, I have some good news! We have a new student joining our class! Mee Delilah Rossi!"

A girl walks in, and by all means, she should be considered pretty. She has long brown hair, an olive complexion, and green eyes. However, she looks average compared to Adrien, a famous model; Marinette, with her dangerous and foreign looks; and Chloé, with her icy-toned beauty. It was truly unfair that this was the class she ended up in; otherwise, she would be quite popular.

"Hello, I'm Delilah, but you all can just call me Lila! I moved here from Italy with my mom!" She says in a cheery voice, almost too cheery. Marinette narrows her eyes at the girl, and Nathaniel looks at her in confusion. "What's wrong?" He whispers, "I'm not sure yet," she whispers back, not taking her eyes off Lila.

Nathaniel looks back to Lila and really listens to the words she saying. Mainly because, as he's gotten to know Marinette, he's realized that she is always correct when it comes to people. "Also, I need to sit in the front because I am hard of hearing. I have tinnitus from when I saved Jagged Stones kitten from an airplane, and the engine exploded in my ear."

Marinette huffs before closing her eyes and getting on her phone. Nathaniel watches but doesn't say anything before her phone slides into his view. On the screen is a news article about Jagged Stone, titled "Why I Have a Crocodile." The article states that he is super allergic to all types of real fur. Nathaniel, getting the hint, looks it up on his phone before texting the chat.

Van Gogh: Link

Pretty Boi: What is that?

Van Gogh: Just read it

DJ Kahlid: Okay?

Mudrucker: On it!

Pretty Boi: Oh, did Marinette show this to you?

Van Gogh: Yeah, the moment Lila walked in, she was not happy.

Mudrucker: Damn, I knew the girl had good intuition, but I didn't realize how good it was.

DJ Kahlid: Right, dudette can spot BS from a mile away

Buttercup: You remember I am in the chat, right?

Pretty Boi: How could we forget?

The three look back at Marinette and Nathaniel from where they are sitting before nodding. Soon, the article is being sent to every single person in the class. Phones ring and beep left and right as everyone pulls out their phone to read it. Once it is spread, everyone looks bored with Lila as she continues to tell her tall tales.

"Lila, why don't you take a seat next to Alya up here in the front? I'm sure she and her friends would love to welcome you in." Ms. Bustier says, giving Alya a pointed look. Alya smiles but doesn't say anything before looking back at Marinette and shrugging. Marinette scowls before sighing and rolling her as if to say, 'What can we do?'

Ms. Buster continues on with the lecture. "Alright, students, so yesterday we were..." she drones on as Marinette zones out, knowing Adrien will give her his notes to take a picture of. She stares at Lila sitting next to Alya in the front and can't help but feel sorry for her. It's not like we are a super important group of kids that have a bunch of power. There is no need to lie to us. It makes no sense. The only one with any sense of power is Chloé, and even then, it's more of a sense of entitlement than real power.
