⤑‧₊˚🖇️✩ ₊˚🎧⊹♡"Genesis, wake up," she hears a familiar voice say.
"Genesis? We're here, we're at Hogwarts." Says a softer one.
Genesis, who'd been asleep since Fred and George started talking about their business, finally awoke. Not before being shaken onto the floor by Alethea, of course. Either way, she was awake.
"Whoops! Oh, I'm so sorry, Sis." she said, her hands flying to cover her mouth.
"It's okay," Genesis replies, massaging her hip and wincing. Looking around the compartment, she'd noticed that the twins and Lee had left. "Where's everybody gone to?"
Eudora and Alethea just look at each other. "They left. We've been trying to wake you up for about ten minutes."
Genesis' eyes widened. Had she really been asleep that long? Usually she couldn't convince herself to calm down enough to fall asleep, and now she couldn't even be waken in the hands of her peers? Well, her best friends, truth be told. "Wow. Haven't slept that good in months."
"It's good for you," Eudora says. "But we should probably get going before all the carriages leave."
"Right," Genesis agrees, clasping Alethea's hand that she had offered and allowing herself to be pulled off of the floor.
Once she'd grabbed her bag and fell into step with her friends, they set off towards the train exit. As they walked, she realized both Eudora and Alethea had already been changed into their Gryffindor robes. Genesis looked down at herself and saw she had not. She was still in the clothes she'd thrown on at seven o'clock that morning.
"I'm not wearing my robes," she reminded her friends. She didn't want to waste any more time with her needs, but she also didn't want to be the only one at dinner without school attire.
"It's okay, I had Fred and George take them cause I knew Eudora would forget." Alethea confirmed.
"Sorry," Eudora drawls, "That I was making sure Genesis wouldn't be shipped back to London."
Genesis lets out a puff of laughter. "It's alright, I'll probably just change in the bathroom, then."
The train was near empty, apart from Genesis, Alethea, Eudora and a few miscellaneous students sneaking behind, sure to be caught by whichever Professor checked the train before it's departure.
As they exited onto the damp platform—it must have rained—Genesis realized just how late they were. The first years have already traveled across the lake, and were loading up the boats at the dock. Unlike years before, the students were working together the pull the little floatation devices onto the shore. Usually, Hagrid, the game keeper and as of two years ago, the Care of Magical Creatures professor, let the eleven-year-olds go on up to the castle as he pulled in every single one of the wooden boats.
The platform was also near abandoned. The only students Genesis could see were about fifty feet ahead of her lot. She supposed they'd better hurry up if they wanted to catch a carriage, so she quickly encouraged her friends to increase their speeds.
They scurried over the pavement together, arm in arm, as fast as they could. If the last carriage didn't leave yet, it was sure to soon. They hastened toward the few people ahead until they were only a few big steps behind them.
Uncontrollably, Genesis' face made an "are you kidding me?" look when she realized just who was in front of them. They'd all ceased walking as they came to a stop at the last carriage. It was unmistakably Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger, she thought, catching sight of the red, brown, and black hair as they approached. His friends stared fixedly at him as he observed—the night sky? Not exactly sure, she was about to cower behind her friends when he asked;
