Why Me ???

Karan's phone rang and his expression changed as he saw it was Col.Batra's call.

He stepped aside and answered the call.

Karan : Jai Hind Sir!

Mission successful lekin , Chirag ko maine shoot kar diya hain. He is no more !

Col.Batra: Jai Hind Karan!

Main the jaankar bahut khush hoon ki Mission successful raha hain!

Lekin tum kaha ho?!

Sab theek hain na?!
Tumhe koi chot toh nahi lagi hain??!

Karan: Sir main aa raha hoon.  Mujhe kucch personal kaam thha ,isiliye main nahi report kar paya.

Main aapko,ek aadhe  ghanta mein report kar dunga!

And yes Sir main theek hoon ,aur mujhe koi chot nahi laga hain.

Saying so he disconnected the call.

He then went to meet Mr.and Mrs. Sharma.

He then revealed that he was  Monami aka Mrinali's husband.

At first Mr and Mrs.Sharma , were reluctant to believe him, but after he showed his and Monami's wedding pictures they believed him.

Karan wanted to be sure that Mrinali was only his Monami so he called one of his trusted informer who was also working as a medical lab technician.

The lab technician arrived at the orphanage and Monami who was sleeping under the effects of the heavy medicines ,was unaware that the lab technician had collected a small sample of her blood.

Karan then left the orphanage thanking Mr and Mrs. Sharma.

He quickly drove to the academy and reported to Col.Batra.

After that he went to the gym and started punching hard on the punching bad and that too without gloves.

Soon his knuckles started bleeding .

He sat down on the ground and hugged his knees and cried his heart out.

He couldn't digest the fact that Mrinali was only his Monami as , the lab technician confirmed and sent the reports to Karan.

He had a severe nervous breakdown, and was sweating badly.

Param who had just entered the gym saw Karan in that state.

He ran towards him quickly and rubbed his back and asked him to breathe .

But Karan had started breathing deeply and he fell unconscious.

Param quickly carried Karan to the dispensary and called for the Doctor.

The Doctor came and checked Karan's pulse, it was very faint so he gave an injection and asked Param to shift Karan to the army hospital for further treatment and also told that Karan needs a psychologist.

Param was shattered on learning that Karan fainted because he had a breakdown which lead to panic attacks.

He felt as though he had failed to fulfil the responsibility of an elder brother .

Soon Karan was shifted to the Army  hospital and Faizi,Sid ,Sanju ,Col.Batra ,Mrs.Batra and Koel along with Param were waiting outside Karan's ward .

Mrs Batra was crying inconsolably as for her ,the Shergill Brothers were like her children.

And for any mother to look at her child suffering and attached with a lot to tubes in the hospital is quite challenging and difficult.

Col.Batra masked up his emotions,and was trying his best to console a heartbroken,Mrs.Batra.

Faizi was also crying as he had this brotherly attachment with Karan.

Infact Karan was the one who always used to help him during their training period.

Seeing him lying on the bed with a drip attached,broke his heart .

Koel too was quite emotional but handled herself as she knew she had to be Faizi's pillar of support.

Although Koel disliked Karan in the beginning her, point of view about him changed the day he had saved her from Chirag.

Later when Karan helped her rebel against Abhay's atrocities she had immense respect for him in her heart.

For Sanju, Karan was like her elder brother who guided her at every phase of life .

And for Sid, it was his Jeez bro and looking at him lying pale, broke his heart in pieces.

Soon, the Doctor came and told that Karan had fainted because he had a severe panic attack.

He had been stabilized and would be conscious soon.

The Doctor also advised that he needs a psychologist's help and told that he knew a good psychologist who could treat Karan.

The rest of them agreed and went inside the ward. Their heart pained looking at Karan who was lying there with tubes attached to his body and the machines beeping continuously.

In sometime,Karan regained his consciousness where, Col.Batra told him that he needs to consult a psychologist.

Karan was reluctant but Col.Batra too had his ways.

He had sanctioned a few weeks leave for Karan and had told that if Karan didnt meet the psychologist then he would do Karan's early retirement.

Karan made faces hearing that but nonetheless agreed as being in the Army was his Childhood Dream and he didn't want to let his hardwork go down the drain.
