2022 Buck is 24

Location: Honolulu Hawaii

"Evan what the hell did you do!" Steve grumbles grabbing him by the arm as he has a cold look of anger flooded across the young man face. "Steve we got a problem he is already trending." He throws his head back with a groan shaking his head. "They really need to stop putting angry SEALS on stages and tv this is already going to be worse than 2015!" Cage growls grabbing Buck and tucking Buck under his arm, Steve on the other side Shark gets in front of him and Wolf stands guard behind him. Tommy who winces being guarded by Brock and Clay. 

"What going on, why are you guys body blocking me?" He asks annoyed and Tommy remembers Buck wasn't in the military when 2015 happened. "To block people who are gonna hate you, but most importantly news reporter answer no comment." Steve growls as they walk out people crowding them when they get closer to Buck glaring at anyone who gets close stares hard and clod. "Clay, Brock take Tommy and get the cars." Buck's arm reaches out shaking his head with a scoff confused. 

"Can somebody please explain what is happening before you separate my husband from me!" He growls holding Tommy next to him with a harsh glare everyone sighs at their sweet innocent Pitbull who has no idea what he just so incredibly smartly started without raising an aggressive finger.  

"Well explain at home kid, Danny has no clue either." He raises his eyebrow as they are flooded by reporters making him shrink. "Mr. Kinard-Mcgarrett, how do you think your higher powers could have prevented everything that happened to you!" One reporter shouts out sticking the mic into his face as he raises a brow smacking it out of his face earning a snort from his family. "Do you think the people in charge of your team should be fired, or put in jail for negligence?" Another asks making Buck scoff shaking his head he never hinted at that or said that.

"No comment." He says as they get the car pulled up front everyone makes sure Buck is in there first before getting in. Tommy sees the confusion and stress and Buck in his head, so he grabs him tucking him under his arm safely making Buck melt into Tommy's touch even he can feel the protectiveness radiating off of him. "Ok you were three months from joining once 2015 ended lasting four months, three very angry SEALS who had just lost their teams were at a press conference." Steve says softly rubbing his forehead as they pull up to Steve's house biting his lip.

"They were angry because the Commander had ordered an airstrike without giving the two SEAL teams time to leave the area and all but three people died. They had planned it for three weeks, so at the meeting they started protesting and shit and on live tv leaked classified details. It started chaos basically wars across the nation, civilian vs government, civilian vs first responders, military vs first responders, military vs government, first responders vs government, most deadly military vs military." Steve says making Buck raise his brow confused and he chuckles knowing Buck is so young still he doesn't get what he did.

"Things that you said yet not bad or intending to because your smart as fuck people are twisting your words and it gonna cause bad things to happen." Tommy explains softly kissing his husband cheek softly. "All I said was do better and their mistakes are the only reason Freddie died and why I am getting this medal." Tommy chuckles shaking his head laying in on Buck's shoulders.

"That not how people are taking it Pit and it sucks, because it truthfully was a beautiful speech." Wolf says softly with a smile making Buck wince with a sigh. "Oops?" He sighs biting his lip when Steve nods taking the recording device sending it to the higher ups. "Gonna get this cleared hopefully." He says with a grin so they can release that on top of it but it won't work.
