Y/N stood frozen in place as Queen Awardwinner turned to face her, the tall and imposing NightWing dragoness's gaze locking onto her own. Awardwinner's personal guard, clearly unwelcome, was hastily dismissed with a flick of the queen's tail.
"You could be so much more than just my guard, Y/N," Awardwinner breathed, her voice filled with unspoken promises as she extended her star-studded wings. The single medal that dangled from her wing claw gleamed, its surface stained with blood—a testament to the queen's power and ruthlessness.
Y/N took a hesitant step back, her mind racing as she tried to process Queen Awardwinner's proposition. "Why...why would I want to follow and train under you, Queen Awardwinner, when you kill everyone?" Y/N's voice was filled with turmoil as she pressed a bloody talon to her forehead, pulling at the seams of her own scars. "I can't stay here."
Turning away from the queen, Y/N began to walk towards the balcony overlooking the Diamond Plaza.
Awardwinner sighed, a hint of disappointment in her tone as she flicked her tail, signaling her guards. "If you cannot stay, then you must choose—serve me, or join the ones you failed to protect."
As the two guards advanced, Y/N found herself backing towards the railing, her tail curling protectively around her talons. Fear coursed through her veins as she realized she was trapped.
One of the guards advanced, thrusting a diamond-tipped spear at Y/n, who shrank back in terror. Without hesitation, she leaped over the railing, spreading her wings as she plummeted toward the ground below.
The guards pursued her, taking to the air in hot pursuit. Y/n shrieked as a blast of fire singed the black tip of her tail, even blacker than the star-studded night sky above. The pain was intense, but she pressed on, her wings propelling her higher into the sky.
In that moment, as she dodged another fiery attack, Y/n realized that she had set foot on a dark path—one that would lead her into the embrace of Darkstalker's words. There was no turning back now, not if she wanted to survive the night.Exhausted from her escape, Y/n landed in a secluded grove, well hidden from the prying eyes of the guards. Curling up beneath a dense spruce tree, she surrendered to the darkness that enveloped her. As sleep claimed her, she drifted into a dreamless slumber, her body finally at rest.
But it was a rest from which she would never awaken. Y/n's fate was sealed, her story coming to a tragic end amidst the shadows of the forest.
