The overlords of Hell are not malevolent... not entirely.
Not that Y/n would necessarily be permitted to attend the meeting while she was there with Alastor. She waited outside, standing sentinel by the door. Yet, who in Hell would dare to intrude upon an Overlord's gathering, and what intentions might they harbor?
Being a dragon truly had its advantages, as she could discern what transpired within. She perked up her keen ears, her fangs glistening as she offered a slight smile. Alastor, unusually subdued, was mostly silent, although she did catch snippets of his deep, velvety voice now and then.
"But do you truly believe that a dragon like L/N could aid us?" she heard a husky, feminine voice inquire, surmising that it must be a female Overlord.
"Without a doubt, my dear, she is powerful; even Lucifer himself would stand no chance against her," declared Alastor confidently. Y/N, for reasons unknown, felt a shiver run down her spine at the thought of encountering the Hell's King, Lucifer. Although she had never actually met him, she had heard of someone from her old kingdom, Darkstalker, who was likened to him. She remembered that he was considered the devil among the NightWings for a considerable period of time and even posed a threat to Pyrrhia a few years after Y/N's passing—although she was on the brink of existence during those events.¨
The woman's voice softened. "Very well, I shall have to meet her, though Alastor, do not think I doubt you. I am well aware that it is wiser to heed the words of a sinner," she said.
"No offense taken in any case, Y/N!" he exclaimed. Y/N felt the reverberations of his voice resonate in her ears as he turned to open the door, his claws delicately wrapping around it. She took a deep breath, then opened it, only to be met by the visages of numerous overlords and malevolent demons.
Some of them didn't bother to conceal their surprise as they saw the petite woman stride in. She appeared like an angel in any case.
A woman stood up and smiled at Y/N, though it was a bit strained. "Hey there, I'm Carmilla Carmine, but call me Carmilla. You must be Y/N. Alastor here just told me about you," she said.
Y/N dipped her head, meeting the Overlord's eyes. "Nice to meet you, Madam Carmilla. I am Y/N. Now, why would Alastor claim I am a powerful demon?" She snorted and smirked, her teeth shining lightly. "I'm hardly that. I was a guard to my last queen, and that is all I have ever been and will ever be."
Carmilla hummed thoughtfully. "I see. Would you like to be anyone's guard here?" She waved a hand at the overlords, chatting at the table. Y/N looked over, her eyes flashing, before settling on Alastor. "If Sir Alastor would have me, that is, I would like to be his guard."
Alastor smiled warmly, addressing everyone present. "Yes, that sounds splendid, my dear." He beamed, and at the end of the table, a dark-skinned woman scoffed, attracting the attention of every demon. "Why does she get to be your guard, Alastor? I thought you didn't need guarding," snipped the dark-skinned girl.
Alastor smiled even wider, his teeth parting slightly. "I don't really need a guard, but if Y/N is so kind as to offer her willingness, then I would be a fool not to accept it," he said.
Y/N gestured with her wings, the sound of faint thunder resonating through the room. Both overlords turned their attention to her. "No need to be whispering about me, dear sinners. Now, however, Alastor, I believe we should return to the hotel, if you don't mind."
Alastor hummed, "Yes, I don't mind." He rose from his seat. "If you'll excuse me," he said to his fellow sinners. With a snap of his fingers, both he and Y/N were teleported back to the hotel. "I would like to hunt, if you don't mind," Y/N said before disappearing through the door.

Outside in Hell, Y/N sprinted along the outer rings in search of a suitable forest to hunt in, yet found none that could contain any kind of infernal beasts. She then remembered the forest where she was originally cast into Hell upon her demise and cursed herself for her foolishness. So, with determination, she set forth on foot towards the shadowed path of flames on the outskirts of the Ring of Rage.
She then cast her sharp eyes around, scanning the ring until she came upon a bear. She smirked before crouching low, her talons skimming over the ground as lightly as soft leaves.
She leaped gracefully as she spotted the large brown bear mulling over a dead deer. The bear met its demise before it could even let out a roar, crashing heavily onto the ground beside the already rotting carcass of its prey.
Y/n smiled, releasing the body and then proceeding to drag it away from the deer carcass. She began to consume the strips of meat methodically, piling the remnants neatly before sighing and settling down to rest.
A noise resonated through the air, accompanied by a cascade of sparkling droplets. Y/N looked upward, emitting a hiss of warning.
"Easy there, my dear. I harbor no intent of harm," he chuckled, his velvety tone imbuing a sense of tranquility. Y/n's hiss grew more pronounced, for she remained unable to discern his identity through sight, scent, or touch, relying solely on her sense of hearing.
Soon, a whimsical puff of magic appeared before her, unveiling a diminutive figure donned in a dapper ensemble. The man stood tall, brandishing an elaborate applewood cane, with a golden serpent gracefully encircling his lofty, snow-white hat.
"And you are," Y/n grunted, blood staining her teeth. She loomed larger than this man in her draconic aura, and likely in human form as well. "Who am I?" The man chuckled, "Oh, the one and only Lucifer Morningstar!" He bowed, gracefully tipping his hand, revealing a mane of golden strands. "Pleased to make your acquaintance, my lady."
Y/n snorted and flicked her tail before curling it around one black talon. "You're the king of Hell, I take it?" she inquired, and the man hummed, smiling to reveal sharp teeth as well.
"You've got that right, dearie. Now, why are you out here all alone, dining on... whatever that must be?" He eyed the bear form. Y/n snorted, "It's a bear, your highness, and I'm out here due to a desire to hunt a bit. The food strips they serve at Hazbin Hotel are nice and all, but I'm a dragon, for stars' sake, not a human." She shuddered, and the man blinked, "Ah, a dragon, you say? Though, you are a sinner like the rest of us."
Y/n shook her head. "I died because I was fleeing my queen, is all. I don't know why the hell I ended up here." She clicked one claw after the other, and Lucifer didn't know if he should be angry or amused that she wasn't really paying him any homage at all.
"You said you live at Hazbin Hotel, how wonderful! My daughter runs that hotel!" He said and beamed. Y/n hummed softly, folding her wings backward and nudging the bear closer to the dead deer before snapping her claw, and both figures vanished in a puff of smoke. "How nice to meet the father of my good friend. Now, come along, Your Highness, I'm sure you have other more important things to do than hang out with me."
Lucifer shrugged, "Not really, I'm just lonely in my vast castle. Why don't you come and give me company?" He smirked, his red and yellow eyes flashing with something Y/n didn't want to know.
She smiled before lowering her head and spreading her wings in a graceful bow. "I would be honored, but I really should go. I promised Alastor I'd be back before dinner, and Charlie will have a fit if I don't get back soon." She stood up straight and offered her talon to the King of Hell. "Nice to meet you, darling," he took it, shaking it in his smaller hand, feeling a surge of powerful magic wash over him. Damn, this dragon is powerful, he thought.
Y/n let him go, then retreated gracefully, disappearing into the air before the King of Hell could react. He stared after her, a sinister smile spreading over his face. "How very nice indeed, darling. You don't know what you've just done," he whispered. Then, with a snap of his fingers, they were gone, leaving the clearing empty, save for a dark red blood puddle.
