Lilliana, a name which has been buried ever since the pair of blonde siblings were adopted into the Moriarty's and the Moriarty's house fire. She has taken the role as the second child of Count Moriarty's family, William James Moriarty. Lilliana has cut her hair short, bind her chest size to change her identity into a man. Thankfully to her rather small chest and six foot tall body, she only needed to wear shoes with the heels of 5 centimetres to bump it up to six foot and one inch and she was able to fit in easily.
At that time, men still had more value than women. As much as she hated it, she had to become a man if she wanted her plan to work and so, ever since she had taken the role as William James Moriarty, she had pretended to be a man ever since.
No one in the Moriarty estate other than her brothers knew this, she couldn't let them know. Even if she trust them, she was afraid that once they found out she is not biologically a man, they will treat her differently and won't take her commands and so, for that she forbids her brothers to say anything, she'd rather be fooling everyone if it means her plan will work, especially, she doesn't want a certain person to know about this.
No one other than herself and her brother knew anything, that is what she thought anyway. When she visited 221B in Baker Street to ask a certain detective who she had grew very fond of to end the story of the lord of crime and Britain's greatest detective, the other man suddenly unravel her deepest secret as he was reaching for the door knob, about to head out.
Lilliana—No. William at that time was shocked. He couldn't do anything other than standing still in front of his door, with his back facing the detective. The detective couldn't see this but he knew he had unravel a secret which William wanted to hide. Without saying anything else, William quickly exited the flat, fearing what the detective might say.
As he got home, he started writing a letter to the ravennete, answering his questions. He decided to leave out the detail of his real identity for he had already left two birth certificates in the same envelope he had left the letter in. His detective is smart, he will be able to figure it out.
William thought Sherlock deserves to know. After all, Sherlock was his equal, his soulmate, the person who had affirmed his existence and understood him at first glance. William hated himself for falling for the detective.
Oh boy was he wrong, as he was hanging from the bridge above the Thames, the detective confessed that he knew everything. He knew how William had to sacrifice his real identity for the sake of the plan. He knew the countless sacrifices William had to make.
And so, when Sherlock called him by his birth name, he can't help but looked up in shock.
"We've always felt the same way from the very start.. then! We've gotta be able to witness the same future, right?! So live.. live on! Lilliana!"
At that time, William knew that the detective doesn't care about the fact that he is born a woman. He had never once had an ounce of disgust. He will always be the same person to him, his friend. William smile, just knowing about it makes death ten times less terrifying.
So, he swung his sword and slash Sherlock's shoulder, injuring him making him loosened his grips on William's wrist and finally, William James Moriarty was falling but then, the detective jump after him.
As the detective reached him, he held William tight, barricading William's head with his hands.
"Finally, I've caught you now. Once we reached the water, Liam will no longer exist. He will be dead, but you, Liane, let's both survive. Live on, both you and I..."
William widened his eyes then he smiled. Liane... William smiled at the fact that his detective was willing to accept who he is, and even when they are falling into the cold river, he still came up with a nickname using his name. William closed his eyes, waiting for the impact of the water.
