Nicole doesn't remember how long it took for her to get used to the long  halls of the manor, yet she learned each place until it was just muscle memory. Her first tour of the manor was done by Tim and Duke, since they were closer to age. And perhaps since they went to the same school, Bruce thought that it would give her a sense of familiarity.

She knew of the two boys existence, but she did not know them personally. So Bruce's plan did not work out.

Her room was bigger and taller than her last one, which would be an understatement because her last room was an old style office that barely had a space for two twin beds.

She never told the Wayne's that though, it wasn't of their business to know and not would they care. Or so Nicole thought.

She got along fairly well with most of the other children, except for Damian. But apparently no one gets along with him so she didn't have to worry.

After her first night stay and absolutely zero sleep, the time shifted into weeks and months. Until it was her second year of living in the Wayne Manor. She was happy, truly, carefully stitched into her perfect routine. No flaws, just complex timing and precision.

However, systems never do stay intact or in order, do they now?

"If it isn't Mrs Morales!" The korean boy mocked, narrowly avoiding a hit that could have probably taken him out.

Nicole huffed, "I'd say you're more of Mrs Morales since you borrow my boyfriends shoes and clothes more often than me."

Ganke raised his hands in defense, but didn't disagree. He muttered something along the lines of "steal him from you" before running up ahead.

She watched the boy run and smiled, content that today was like any other day.

Entering the school premises, Nicole avoids any sort of contact with the active paparazzi outside. That reminded her that she really needs to take that issue up with Bruce.

She would have told him last night, but she was staying over at Gwen's. So perhaps she'll do it tonight.

The school hadn't began yet, but it would in less than an hour or so. Gwen's dad usually drops her early before heading to the station.

Speaking of Gwen, she had hurried of into the building the moment she stepped out of the car. Not that Nicole would question, the other girl most likely went up to meet with her girlfriend.

Ganke came to school early because his mother took away his game console last night, which gave him nothing to do other than show up early.

Nicole walks to her locker, hitting the combination and swinging the door open. Her locker wasn't much, just crammed with books and covered by stickers that Miles made. And maybe a small hiding place in the back for her and Ganke's Nintendo's.

Speak of the devil and he appears, Ganke tries to scare Nicole, but fails as she had sensed him long before.

"That never works on you I swear." He complained, opening his bag.

"Never works and never will."

He slips his nintendo behind my books and gives me a smile.

"Mario Kart at lunch?"

I pretend to think about, "Hm, you'll have to ask Miles about that."

"What? Are you two gonna be too busy in the janitors closet to play?"

He dodges an incoming calculator.

"You better shut up or you won't make it for lunch."

We walked to homeroom together, because that's where we usually wait for everyone else. The class was empty, apart from the couple sitting at the front and the three girls that chatted quite lively for an early morning. Being seated next to the window came with it's perks, I love to look out at the view of the courtyard during morning lecture.

Ganke sat in front of me, that poor soul. Once in a while, I give his chair a kick from the back or throw a paper ball at his head. Either that, or I tug at his hair. I, however, don't go through such treatment. For now atleast. Pav took a few weeks off to visit family back home, so I'm free from torment.

What I really love about my seat is that Miles is seated right beside me. We pass letters in PSD, or become partners in morning challenge.

Unfortunately, Hobie and Gwen sat at the far front, right beside the door. They often joked around, pretending to talk shit about us to each other by going "pshpshpshpsh" in each others ears. I know they miss us, especially Gwen because now she can't copy my homework.

Ganke and I were busy doing whatever on our phones, until someone tapped me on my shoulder.

"You guys really came early, huh?"

I'd know that british accent anywhere.

"Hobie!"

"What's up, Nic?"

"Oh yeah, ignore my existence."

Hobie really loves to mess with Ganke, and Ganke doesn't know that. Maybe he will.

I turned away from the conversation, and realized that time passed rather quickly. The class was buzzing with students and the hallways were as noisy as ever. Gwen finally entered the class after being missing for a while hour, but we didn't question. We already know she has a girlfriend, half of the school does. We're all just waiting for her to tell us straight up to confirm.

The bell rings, but somehow, the agitatingly loud sound is muffled by a commotion outside.

Now you may be wondering, villain attack? Nah, that's what happens when the Wayne's show up, aka my brother's.
