Chapter 1: Intruders

Bumblebee and Charlie were making dinner for their daughter, Maya, together. When they heard her cry out to them. A cry for help. Bumblebee bolted with no hesitation with Charlie on his shoulder. Her weapon in hand. "Maya!" Charlie called out. Her and Bumblebee's faces lit with horror. For their daughter was being hold in one hand by a massive wolf-like mech.

"Let our daughter ... GO!" Bumblebee's eyes turned raging red. The mech only turned and started to walk. Bumblebee march after him.

"You are really making us want to pound you into scrap!" Charlie exclaimed.

"Just keep following if you don't want anything to happen to your daughter!" the wolf mech snapped at them.

"Dad ...? ... Mom ...?" Maya said in a small voice.

"What do you want from us?" Bumblebee growled coldly.

"It's not me who wants you." Bumblebee and Charlie glanced at each other and then at Maya.

"Who wants us then?!" Charlie demanded.

"Me," a mech's voice told them. He had ... hair? Bumblebee quickly studied him. His eyes were gold in one, silver in the other, with golden undereye marking on his left and silver on the right. His armor was black with gold and silver markings. Bumblebee didn't like the looks of him.

"Who. Are. You?" Bumblebee demanded.

"I am Hijiki," the mech answered. Bumblebee could tell he wasn't lying. His powers were activated the moment Maya's cried came to his audio receptors.

"What do you want?" Bumblebee asked coldly.

"Isn't obvious?" Hijiki asked in a calm voice. "I want your powers, Bumblebee." Before Bumblebee, Charlie, or Maya could protest, Hijiki continued. "In exchange for your daughter, you will give me a sample of each of you powers at the temple. Nothing more, nothing less."

Bumblebee glanced at Maya with a worried face. "Dad ... don't."

"Shut it." The wolf mech tightened his grip on her. Bumblebee and Charlie's faces tightened.

"Now, now ... we don't want to harm her. Do we?" Hijiki asked in calm tone.

"No, Master." The wolf mech loosened his grip on Maya.

"So ... do we have a deal?" Hijiki asked facing them.

"Not like we have a choice," Charlie mumbled.

"Alright, we'll go with you to this ... temple in exchange for our daughter." Hijiki smiled to Bumblebee's reply. He wished he could turn Hijiki into a melted puddle. But he knew that would put his daughter's life at risk.

"Just to make sure neither of you try something." Hijiki threw something at Charlie and Bumblebee. A collar lapped around their necks. Bumblebee's arms were thrown back and bound together. He glared at Hijiki, but he only smiled. A ground bridge opened up behind Hijiki and the wolf mech. "Come." They went through and surely enough ... there was a temple in front of them.
