One Of The Girls | Harin x Sooji

Chapter 12:

SEVEN YEARS LATER.

Seven years later, Sung Sooji is now working at New York City, together with Jaeun and their friends in the different positions. She's a successful lawyer now.

Life was hard for her when she lost her, but she healed, because Jaeun told her that she wouldn't be able to move forward if she won't heal, it takes a lot of time for Sooji to heal her broken heart, Jaehyeong and Yulim already knew about her thing with Harin before, they just chose to ignored it. However, Sooji is happy now.

They have their own house in New York, they have decided to lived in the same house together, but they have their own rooms, they could be chaotic sometimes but their bond remains as before.

"Sung Sooji, someone's calling in your phone." Jaeun said, as she passes the phone to her.

Sooji took it and answered it, perhaps this is her new client.

"Sung Sooji speaking, I'm a lawyer, the one you called last week. I'm free today, Ma'am." Sooji professionally answered.

"Let me know where you are at the moment, I'm on my way to meet you there."

When she gets all the information, she hang up the call, as she scans her friends giving her a teasing smile.

"What?"

"We just love your English." Jaehyeong compliments, wiggling her brows.

Sooji shakes her head while smiling, her friends never changed.

She took her beige suit as she steps out the house immediately, she drove off, making sure she got there in the exact time because she really hates it when she's making her clients wait for her for so long, Sooji doesn't want to encounter that again.

This one, she feels like this one's special.

She arrived at the known restaurant in the New York City, she stepped out of the car and ran towards the main door, the door automatically opened by itself, when she stepped inside, she wandered her eyes around, looking for her client, she didn't get to ask of the details of her outfits and she's almost dialing her number.

"Ms. Sung." She stopped in her track as she faced the person behind her, but as soon as their eyes met, she almost dropped her phone on the floor.

Baek Harin.

She looks different... she's more prettier now... her hair remains longer and wavy, plus those eyes... it's glimmering.

Sooji couldn't help but to say that in her head only.

Harin approached her with a professional smile, how small the world is?

"I don't think I still need to introduce myself, judging by the way that you looked at me... you already knows me..." Harin chuckles.

"Kidding aside, I'm Baek Harin. A model. And I just need you to be my lawyer."

Sooji accepted her hand, dumbfounded, still not processing of what's going on.

Because this woman is literally her ex-girlfriend? her first love.

"Baek Harin... it's been a long time." She greets her with a smile, there's a part of her heart that still misses her.

No, scratch that, she misses her so bad.

"It's been a long time, Sooji-ah. I've never imagine that I'll meet you here."

Sooji is amazed of how different Harin is than before. By the way that she speaks, she sounds so matured and professional now.
