As Lily emerged from the comfort of her bed, a sense of urgency gripped her as she approached the door, only to find it obstinately locked, sealing her within the confines of an unfamiliar room. Anxiety knotted in her stomach as she surveyed her surroundings, realizing that the windows, too, were securely shut, denying any hope of escape. Panic threatened to overwhelm her as she desperately scoured the room for an exit, her resolve waning with each passing moment.

Just as despair began to set in, her eyes fell upon a staircase nestled in a far corner of the room. With a flicker of hope reignited, she cautiously ascended, each step a prayer for deliverance from this harrowing predicament. As she reached the summit, a momentary relief washed over her as she found herself on what seemed to be the top floor of a towering edifice, an A7 Storey building stretching into the unknown heights.

Yet, her triumph was short-lived as an inexplicable twist of fate whisked her back to the very spot she had begun, leaving her bewildered and trembling with fear. Undeterred, she resolved to try once more, only to be met with the same disheartening outcome, trapped in a disorienting loop of uncertainty and dread.

Trapped within the confines of this eerie and unfamiliar building, a shroud of dread and fear descended upon her like a suffocating veil, enveloping her in its icy grip. With resolve tempered by trepidation, she resolved to ascend the additional levels, a flicker of hope guiding her quest for answers amidst the unsettling labyrinth.

To her dismay, each floor she explored unveiled the same haunting tableau – an exact replica of the tavern where she had once toiled. The stone walls, the weathered wooden tables, the creaking chairs – all echoed with haunting familiarity, yet twisted in an unsettling distortion that sent shivers down her spine.

Upon reaching the sixth floor, a foreboding sense of unease prickled at her senses as the distant echo of approaching footsteps reverberated through the stale air. Desperate to evade detection, she sought refuge behind a nearby table, heart pounding with anticipation. Yet, to her astonishment, the source of the sound was not a human being, but something altogether unexpected.

She peeked over the table, her eyes twinkling with fear and curiosity, and watched as the unknown entity walked by.

About a head taller than her, he walked with a commanding and ominous presence, his body draped over with a dark suit. His lengthy black hair was pulled back in a ponytail, while his opal black eyes appeared dark and full of malice, as if lacking a soul within.

With wary eyes trained on the mysterious figure before her, she couldn't help but notice the ominous presence of a pair of formidable black wings protruding from his back. Their gnarled, skeletal appearance sent a shiver down her spine, their thin, sinewy form suggesting an otherworldly origin. Yet, what truly unsettled her was the eerie black shadow that seemed to emanate from them, casting a pall of darkness that seemed to engulf the very air around them, suffusing the room with an unsettling sensation of foreboding and unease.

She froze, the realization hitting her. Standing in front of her was no ordinary beast. As her eyes beheld the gruesome sight before her, a floodgate of childhood memories burst open, unleashing a torrent of long-suppressed trauma. Visions of her mother's chilling tales flooded her mind, stories of bloodthirsty beasts tormenting their victims for sheer amusement. Creatures that feasted on human limbs, gnawing even on the bones with grotesque relish.

In a horrifying realization, she recognized the creature standing before her as one straight from the pages of her mother's sinister storybook, its presence invoking a primal fear that gripped her heart with icy fingers. The childhood nightmares, once thought buried in the depths of her subconscious, now clawed their way back to the surface, casting her into a harrowing confrontation with the darkest recesses of her imagination.

The more she thought about it, the more she trembled. The vibrations from her body shook the table that was covering her, and much to her disappointment, a glass resting on the table suddenly dropped with a loud crash, breaking into countless tiny fragments.

As the jagged shards of glass pierced her delicate skin with ruthless precision, a searing cry of agony tore from her lips, echoing through the silent chamber. Each shard seemed to carry with it a malicious intent, leaving behind a trail of crimson evidence of her torment.

In the eerie stillness that followed, the creature's gaze flickered towards her, a glint of recognition gleaming in his eyes as he slowly turned to confront her. With a chilling sense of inevitability, she found herself ensnared in the intensity of his gaze, each narrowed eye a silent harbinger of the looming confrontation to come.

As he abruptly pivoted, his movements seemingly dismissing her presence, a fleeting sense of relief washed over Lily like a whispered promise of safety. Yet, before she could fully exhale the breath caught in her throat, the fleeting illusion shattered like glass against stone.

In a lightning-fast blur of motion, he surged towards her, his figure transformed into a menacing silhouette against the dim light of the chamber. Gripped tightly in his hand, a glinting dagger gleamed with ominous intent, its sharp edge promising nothing but pain and terror. The illusion of safety evaporated, replaced by a chilling realization that she was now confronted with a peril far more immediate and deadly than she had ever imagined.

Lily narrowly evaded his strike, her heart racing with fear as she sprang to her feet and darted towards the nearest exit. The creature's menacing presence loomed close behind her, its mocking laughter reverberating through the empty tavern like a haunting echo. Lily sprinted with all her might, her pulse thundering in her ears, her every muscle tensed with adrenaline-fueled urgency. Just as she dared to hope for safety, she felt a sudden force pressing her against the cold, rough surface of the wall. Looking up, she met the gaze of the figure standing before her, their twisted grin casting shadows of malevolence.

"It appears fortune has abandoned you, young one," he taunted, his voice dripping with sinister amusement, sending icy tendrils of dread snaking down her spine.

Lily quivered in terror as she watched a dark, ominous shadow coalesce in the creature's hands. Its eerie form seemed to pulsate with malevolent energy as the creature chuckled darkly, hurling it toward her with malicious intent. With a sinking feeling in her gut, Lily braced herself for the impending horror, steeling her nerves for the worst.

But just as the shadow was poised to engulf her, it abruptly halted in mid-air, hovering ominously before her. Then, to Lily's astonishment, it reversed its course, hurtling back towards the malevolent entity that had conjured it. The impact was cataclysmic, shattering the creature into countless fragments that scattered across the room like shards of shattered glass.

Stunned into silence, Lily remained motionless, trying to comprehend the surreal turn of events that had just unfolded before her eyes. As she surveyed the aftermath, her gaze fell upon a cluster of thick, dark black slime pooling on the floor, a sinister residue of the creature's demise.

As Lily finally began to unwind from her exhausting night, a sudden movement caught her eye. To her horror, the dark slime that had once been a seemingly harmless substance began to twist and contort, gradually morphing into its original, menacing form. With widening eyes, Lily watched in terror as the creature reshaped itself before her very eyes.

Panic surged through her as she attempted to flee, to cry out for help, but her efforts were futile. The being, now fully restored to its ominous state, loomed over her, enveloping her in its chilling darkness. As if drawn to her fear, it consumed her with its malevolent presence, leaving her engulfed in shadowy flames, her cries drowned out by the overwhelming darkness.
