TW: mentions of a miscarriage
"Morning," CJ heard as she turned around to see Jack with two plates of food.
"I cooked us breakfast," he smiled, his semi-dried hair falling into his face.
"Thank you so much," she smiled sitting up and taking the plate.
As the girl sat up she looked around her room, noticing how clean it was now.
"I woke up early so i decided to shower and clean your room, I hope you don't mind," he gently smiled at the girl.
"I don't mind at all, thank you so much. I appreciate it more than you know," she told him giving him a kiss on the cheek.
The pair sat against CJ's headboard as they ate and watched Modern Family on her TV.
Once they finished eating, Cecilia jumped in the shower before deciding she was going to deep clean her room.
Having Jack to keep her company, the girl felt a weight lifted off of her as she got back into her routine.
Jack sat next to her on the floor as she organised some boxes under her bed, he stared at her with a confused expression as her body language change as she pulled out a baby blue box.
"Hey, you okay?" he asked her tapping her arm.
"I need to tell you something," she said in a small voice, feeling vulnerable.
"You can tell me anything," he replied.
"In this box. It's the reason I get so down, especially at this time of year. I don't tell many people the reason, only my family and Leah know. I've never felt comfortable enough to tell anyone else, until you," she told him.
A soft smile appeared on Jack's face, he knew how much this meant to his girl. He pecked her hand and motioned for her to continue.
The girl took in a large breath before opening the box. Inside it sat baby items, including a pregnancy test and a few baby blue toys and grows.
"I was pregnant," she whispered out as a tear slipped down her face.
Jack quickly pulled her into him so they now sat side by side with the box on both of their knees.
"I lost him around 4 years ago, me and my ex got into an argument and he ended up pushing me down the stairs. I lost my boy a few days after."
"I've never been the same since," she spoke quietly.
"Oh, my love, i'm so sorry," he said to her pulling her even closer.
"You didn't deserve that, you deserved so much better. I'm sorry for what happened and your beautiful boy is watching over you and will always be with you." He said to her as she wiped her tears.
"You always know what to say to make me feel better. I always get stuck in my own head this time of the year."
"And i'll help you get out of your own head, you know you have me and you can call me whenever or where ever you are."
CJ cuddled into the boys side as the pair stared at the small blue box, Jack's hand rubbing over the soft fabric of the baby grow.
Jack had to leave the same night, the pair both having football training the next morning and despite being so far away from each other they'd never felt closer.
