It's 1k right? And 600 is going towards decorations while 300 is going to food, then 200 is for a DJ
Like I have been on SHEIN, looking at the $12 decor. Because the dance committee instructor is on actual prom websites.
Like ma'am we have like 1 year until prom I think? Idk how high school dances work. 😅
Now let's talk about the food bc that got me pissed off 💀
$300 on food is not happening because nobody wants pizza this year, they want a catering service.
So there was this girl right, she's my friend we talk; and she called her mom and she offered 3 pans of jerk chicken, and rice and peas, and some other food I can't remember that's just the main course.
And this lil Puerto Rican girl gone say I'm not eating that. Let's see if Chipotle or something can cater?
Like chipotle catering is (as I can imagine) expensive as shit !! And she don't want soul food (which is another cheap option)
I'm just saying this - you know we have a $300 budget and we could take the free food, and plug that $300 somewhere else.
Like for example, I don't eat Hotdogs. But someone out there will. For example ask all the big backs ?? I bet you they'd coming running for some jerk chicken, rice and whatever.
Just because you don't eat it doesn't mean someone else won't. Majority rules. If it's that bad eat the cake??
But they should hire me I'll cook anything. Do a lil grocery haul of $150, and I got them frl !! Just pay me my $300 😂
I be cooking in my free time , like last week I made yams, mashed patatoes, collards and fried chicken for my mom. JUST HIRE MEEEEE 😂
NOW LETS TALK DECORATIONS
So our first theme that got turned down by the principal was Vegas, but we were discussing that for a while and the SAME girl gone say ; "oh Vegas colors (the balloon colors) don't match my dress."
How is that anyone's problem? And she got that cheap white skims SHEIN copy dress. Like if she don't get some color and dye it red ?? Tf
And white goes with EVERYTHING, so I don't know wtf she was talking about.
Just because it doesn't match your dress doesn't mean it won't match others!!
The theme we had to choose I don't like because this one dude is gonna dress up like Adam Sandler for the full aesthetic. He is gonna ruin the class photo 💀
AND THE DJ...
The DJ budget was so sad. No DJ is gonna come for $200 for 3.5 hours, that's also not happening. And my dad was like you're gonna need a DJ just not for that price.
Like, at this point get an iPod and hook it to the speaker. I was talking to a DJ because that's our job and I looked in his description and it said for graduation parties it was like 1,500 for over 2 hours.
So I know it's not gonna happen
But I just wanted to check in, and share with yall my rant, but go off.
