I need to talk to him. Valt has to know, otherwise he'll be in danger. "Free... can we cuddle?" he asks shyly. I have to grin, "Sure." I answer and pull him into a hug where I hold him tight. I can feel his breath on the back of my neck. He snuggles closer to me. I have to tell him, but I can't now.
I have to finish this first so I can start over with Valt. "Valt, I need to talk to you." I start and turn his head towards me, "I have to go away for a while..." he tells him. Valt's eyes widen and he jumps out of the hug, "What? Why...?" he asks. I look down, "I have to do something. It's important to me. It's something my life has been preaching and I have to finish it. Only then can I start a new life with you, where I can show you how much I appreciate and love you." I assure him, whereupon he looks at me confused, "Valt?" I tilt my head to the side and he jerks back to reality.
I have to giggle. "Hey! That's not funny!" he squeaks and crosses his arms. But then he looks at me sadly. "Will you come back?" he asks. I pull him to me and kiss him. I part our lips slightly, "Yes, I'll be back. I promise." I whisper against his lips. He nods, "I trust you, Free," he says with a smile.
Would you if you knew what I've done? I'm afraid and I haven't been afraid for a long time. I don't want to lose Valt. I want to have him with me and never let him go. I want to be with him, but my actions are now showing their consequences. The world is punishing me for what I have done. But I don't regret it. LOFT deserves it because they are no better.
Sure, I could be better than them, but I'm not capable of that. I tried, but it didn't work. LOFT are people who take advantage of others, and I'm afraid they're after Valt. Because of me. LOFT has to go first, otherwise the risk will always be there. Fortunately, I've always kept a low profile, so LOFT doesn't know what I look like, and I'm very happy about that. I wouldn't have cared if they knew who I was and what I looked like. But I'm glad they don't.
That way they can't know what I do and when I meet in life. That's a good thing. "Valt.... I wanted to ask if you would like to make tonight a special night. But only if you want to!" I say quickly, looking at him nervously. He glances a few times, "You mean...! Um... You..." he stutters. I chuckle and gather my courage. I've never done this before, but I've been told about it. "So...?" I ask. His face turns red and he nods silently. I walk up to him and we start the last night before all the chaos starts and I'm gone for a while. I want him to know that I'm his and he's mine. I want him to know that I love him and that I will always protect him. I will come back, Valt. I promised you that, and I will keep that promise.
