Ninjago Dragons Rising Season 2 Reviews: SPOILERS!!!

Episode 10: Rising Ninja

Hey guys, finally found the time to make the finale review! So without further ado, here we go!

Plot: Arin sees what he thinks are his parents, but it turns out to be Lloyd and Nya. He explains to them what happened and they head to the ritual.

Ras begins the ritual while Kai, Wyldfyre and Sora work on freeing the hostages, but when the gong is hit, they affected because they're wearing the wolf mask and forced to stop. Jordana gives Ras the translated scrolls and prepare the spell. The ninja get discovered and the wolf masks attack them. A battle ensues and Kai fights the wolf masks, Sora traps Cinder with her mech, and Wyldfyre frees the hostages. Kai gets thrown from his mech and is stunned on the ground. Pretty soon, Arin, Lloyd, Nya and Riyu join the fight and help them fight the wolf masks. Cinder breaks out of the trap and destroys Sora's mech. While Sora's out, Cinder grabs a mask and performs shatterspin and starts attacking the ninja with it. Kai does the rising dragon technique and puts a stop to it. Lloyd tries to take Ras out with his spinjitsu, and Kai gets pushed into the portal and gets trapped in nether space with Bonzle. His sacrifice frees one of the forbidden five members, which makes the wolf masks stop and bow to him. Nya gets angry and does rising dragon to stop Cinder. Lloyd tries to do it too, but he gets more visions. He allows them to come and flow and manages to do the rising dragon as well. They hold off Cinder but Nya gets knocked down. Ras is about to knock her in the portal, but before he can, Arin grabs a piece of tech and tries to give it object spinjitsu. Sora sees this and helps him out with her tech power and knocks Ras out. Wyldfyre sees this and is told not to say anything. When the portal closes, all the wolf masks and the dojo disappear and the ninja are left wondering what happened.

Kai wakes up in Nether Space and tries to find a way out while Bonzle tries to shut the gate. Bonzle hits Jordana who gets hit with a weird energy strike. The portal closes with Kai still inside. Kai and Bonzle meet up and they agree to try to find a way out.

The dojo and all the bad guys are teleported to somewhere else. (Personally, I'm not exactly sure where it is.) Ras uses a shock device to get the member of the forbidden five to obey him. Jordana is stuck rocking back and forth in some kind of trance.

Meanwhile, Cole, Zane and the sorceress try to stop the cloud kingdom from crashing into the mountains. They find the motor room and try to fix it, but Cole's mech isn't tall enough. They get the sorceress to use the size changing spell on Zane again so he can hold the top and bottom of the gears. Euphrasia sees this and uses her wind powers to help hold it steady and ends up saving the day when their plan backfires.

The blood moon passes and the dragon masters are turned back to normal. The ninja meet up with everyone at the cloud kingdom and see if they can figure out where the dojo went, but they have nothing. They tell Cole about Bonzle and Lloyd praises Arin for his object spinjitsu, but Sora knows the truth.

Things I enjoyed:

- The transition to the intro with the gong was pretty cool.

- Cinder and Jordana competing for teacher's pet. 😂

- Did I mention how awesome the spinjitsu looks this season?!

- Wyldfyre just lighting Kai's hair like a candle! 😂😂😂

- I love the one camera action shots!

- I can't get enough of the mechs this season! They look awesome!

- Wyldfyre is so protective of Kai. It's so sweet!

- I know I've said this every time, but Cinder is an absolute beast!

- I love the score for this episode so much!

- Euphrasia is such a cool character!

- I had no idea Nya and Lloyd would do rising dragon too! Such a cool surprise!

- Kai is so noble and I love it!

- I'm glad they showed the dragon masters turning back to normal.

- it's still hard to believe how deep Andrew Francis' voice can go. (He plays Egalt on top of Cole)

- I love how Ras's master just yeets him up to the sky in the middle of his sentence.

- Lloyd's hug with Cole was so nice. 😊

- Nya and Wyldfyre comforting each other. 🥰😭

- I love how understanding Kai is with Bonzle.

Things I didn't like:

- Shouldn't Kai, Sora and Wyldfyre be evil now?

- How did Kai change into his suit in a single frame?

- They never let Euphrasia in the fight. 😞

- Lloyd, you had to open your big mouth! Ras wouldn't have gotten the idea to push Kai in there if you hadn't said anything.

- Zane really didn't see that plan backfiring? He's a flipping NINDROID!

- Not really related to the episode in general, but Zane didn't even mention Pixal throughout all these episodes.

- Sora, this is gonna backfire on you in the next half.

- Jordana is seriously freaking me out, but I'm curious to see what happens to her.

Favorite line: "I don't know how to do that. I'll try to find a way out, but if you get a chance to close that gate, close it. Don't worry about me."

Overall score: 9/10
