I ran my fingers through my hair in frustration, screaming out random bullshit.
I was lost. And I didn't want to call my dad. I'd rather be lost than be anywhere near Tara. I would get back to Levi's, but I didn't know how to get back.
And that's when the universe decided to be a bitch, and it began to rain.
I smacked the steering wheel, as I caught sight of a blonde soaking wet. I drove over to him without thinking about what I was doing.
"Hey!" I rolled the windows down, staring at him.
"Um hi," He blushed, trying to cover himself with his hands.
"Hop in." He looked nice. I didn't think he could've even hurt a fly.
He gaped at me, before walking to the passenger seat and hopping in.
"Hi. I'm Mae," I smiled at him as he stared at the control pallet.
"Hello Mae. Can I please turn on the heater?" He shivered. I nodded.
"I'm Nate." Nate. That suited him. He was shy and sweet. He was tiny in size and that just made him even more adorable. I must admit he was very attractive.
He lead me to his apartment. I watched as trees began to block the baby-blue skies.
We soon arrived to an old building, the lower-class part of town.
"Thanks for the drive. Do you maybe want to come in? Danny would love you!" He smiled. I probably shouldn't.
"Sorry, I need to be somewhere," I flashed him a little smile, "But I'm lost. Will you please give me directions?" And so he explained to me how to get back home and left. But not before giving me his number.

I sat on my bed, scrolling through google, trying to find a painting I could use for my art project. I ignored the constant knocking on my door, not wanting to speak to anyone at the moment.
"Mae! Open up!" Tara whined. I rolled my eyes and plugged my earphones in. It was getting cold even though I was practically in a hoodie with a long-sleeved shirt underneath it.
"Love me love me. Say that you love me," The familiar voice blared through my earphones making warmth spread through my insides.
"Fool me fool me. Go on and fool me," I sang along quietly.
I really do love The Cardigans.
I found a painting called "The Open Window" that I really seemed to like and decided to email that one to Jenny, my former student who needed help in her art homework. I used to tutor her before I had to move here and she seemed to be struggling lately. The painting was so... Jenny. Creative but not to many.
I texted Nate a quick thank you for giving me directions before locking my phone and drifting off to sleep.

I stood up quickly, cringing because well- periods.
Grandma was coming to visit and saying I was excited was most definitely an understatement. Even though grandma was very nosey and talked about everything and everyone who could inhale oxygen, she was very sweet and caring. Sometimes I felt bad my father (her son) wouldn't provide her with the love she deserved. So that's what I did.
